Patch Notes:

Adding slide steps to a V/Oct pitch sequence using the gated slew section of the new MEGA MILTON. The MEGA MILTON is available now from fine ALM stockists worldwide. 

A V/Oct pitch sequence is patched from Pamela’s PRO Workout to the input of the MEGA MILTON’s ‘Slew’ section. The output is patched to OSC A of Akemie’s Castle to sequence its chord voice. The slew amount is increased, adding a continuous glide between all the notes in the sequence. To add specific, less frequent slides, a gate sequence is patched from output 4 to the slew ‘Enable’ input, turning the slew circuit on and off as it goes high and low. Both the gate length, sequences and amount of slew effect the character of the slides, allowing for highly expressive variations to be programmed.

The new ‘MEGA MILTON’ provides essential classic synthesizer building blocks for patching in any Eurorack system. It includes a stereo line input converter, 4 input mixer with breakout attenuator, gated slew limiter, sample & hold with white noise, and a buffered multiple with polarity indicators.

Brooklyn based Praveen Sharma has always taken a genre absorbing, dancefloor-oriented approach to his output as Braille,  effortlessly floating through house, techno, melancholic ambient and UK Bass. His singles on European labels Rush Hour (“The Year 3000”) and Hotflush Recordings (“A Meaning”) were critically acclaimed and set the stage for his full length album debut on LA based label Friends of Friends (“Mute Swan”). With an ear for sentimental melodies and an unprecedented step into the vocal arena, Braille’s first full-length demonstrated his ability to step outside the dancefloor box. Braille’s return to Hotflush with “Stand Still” marks an infusion of color and optimism to his sound and sets the stage for a renewed focus on the dance.

Praveen Sharma has been making a diverse range of music from folk to juke since 2004. He has released as “Praveen” on Neo Ouija, Moodgadget and Supermartyr Records, “Praveen & Benoît” on Music Related, and alongside Machinedrum as one half of the Pitchfork “Best New Music” awarded “Sepalcure” on Hotflush Recordings.
