Pornbugs is the alter ego of ‘Sven & Sven’ - two electronic music aficionados that have played together since 2005 - playing and pro- ducing deep-tech house sounds aimed firmly at the dancefloor.

Here with their Echoing In My Mind EP for Sublease Recordings, they are back doing what they do best - making high octane dance music with a touch of class.

The title track is a firing deep tech workout with a clean production and distinctive sound design, enriching the ever present dancefloor tension.

The EP also features two versions of Ramenko - the original is a slinky tech house groover with an irresistible bassline, while Sascha Dive's Soul 2 Soul Remix leans towards a soulful disco house groove while maintaining a strong edge.

Bondage Music present four new reimaginations of Sascha Dive's Beautiful People EP featuring some of Europe's leading artists. First up, Pornbugs take on 'Meditation'. Tougher drums, a groovy disco bassline from hell and sparseness set this remix out immediately. Sonics ebb and flow throughout conjuring up images of the sun rising after a crazy night out. Warm and inviting. Next, Italian Cristina Lazic applies her considerable talent to 'Beautiful People' featuring the vocals of 'Mr House' himself, Robert Owens. Again heading in a dubbier late night direction, her take is full of swagger and tension. Berlin-based Dilby is up next with 'Dub Chronicals 5'. Known for his deep tech mastery, it's no surprise this bristles from the off. Busy bass notes and sparse percussion leave acres of space for intricate sonic noodles and a cheeky acid line. Finally, Ukrainian sensation, Lola Palmer wraps things up with 'Late Night Up North'. A trained musician, and heavily influenced by House music heroes The Timewriter and Terry Lee Brown Jr., takes a bassline driven groove and subtly adds melodics to sweeten the vibe. 'Swiss imprint Adam’s Bite welcomes Romania’s Nu Zau (Castanea, Sono Unica, UVAR) onto its roster with new EP, entitled ‘Become Alive’ and comprised of four original cuts.

Since stepping onto the scene over a decade ago, Romanian producer Nu Zau has become a figurehead for the microhouse scene his homeland is synonymous with, racking up releases on the likes of the Italian Modbox helmed Castanea, Stockholm’s Sono Unica and Aurum, sub-label of the renowned white label Telum imprint. Here, we see Nu Zau joining the roster of Basel, Switzerland’s Adam’s Bite, home to material from the likes of Barac, Cristi Cons, Traumer and Ion Ludwig amongst others.

Leading the way on the package is ‘Feeling Alive’ a subtly unfurling journey that twists and turns through bouncy bass notes, an amalgamation of modulating synth flutters, hypnotic voices and crisp percussion. ‘Your Turn’ follows next and shifts gears towards squelchy acid bass, choppy stab sequences and ethereal pads, all underpinned by a crunchy, raw drum workout.

On the flip-side ‘Intense Jazzy’, as the name would suggest leans into a more organic feel with a snaking bass line, a shuffled jazz-tinged rhythm and a murky underlying tension perfectly crafted for dark, smoky rooms. ‘The Light We Carry’ then rounds out the release, bringing swirling resonant synth textures and robotic voices into the mix alongside a swaying sub bass groove and low-slung drums.'

Extrasketch is back with a bang. Butane and Riko Forinson combine forces once again on ‘You Make Me’, adding yet another stand-out EP to their impressive catalog.  

Dating back to 2019 with their first collaborative release, Extrasketch 014, the duo has certainly come a long way, making appearances together on eighteen further EPs on the imprint. Extrasketch boss Butane and his trusty production partner Riko Forinson continue to serve up their highly creative take on underground-focused dance music, spanning the breadth of deep house, techno and beyond. Delivering their first tracks together of the year, late March welcomes a trio of fresh house offerings as they link up once again on ‘You Make Me’.

Dubby and heady, yet driving and hypnotic, title cut ‘You Make Me’ is straight-up, no-nonsense house business made for the floor, with the track’s provocative female vocals ebbing and flowing in the mix. Imploring party-goers to 'Stick Around', the next cut veers towards more sun-drenched shuffling spheres, with skippy drums and shimmering lead melodies. ‘What I Need’ brings a timeless and classy balance of warped synth lines and soulful vocals to close the show.

Growing up in the midwestern United States, Butane was steeped in the classic underground house and techno sounds that originated in Chicago and Detroit. Further influences came from afar: New York house, west coast house, UK tech house, Cologne techno, Berlin minimal.  His formative years were spent on the dancefloors of legendary venues like Twilo and Vinyl in New York City, Space and Crobar during Miami's Winter Music Conference, and Rednofive in Chicago.

An avid record collector and DJ since 2002, Andrew’s infamous monthly party in St. Louis established an underground scene in the city and became a must-stop for touring international artists.  In 2004, Andrew embarked on his own artistic journey in the studio, despite lacking any formal musical training (a classically trained pianist he was not).  Proving to be a fast learner, his unique and eclectic sound began earning him worldwide acclaim on international record labels in a mere matter of months.  The German press dubbed him a “wunderkind”.  He moved to Berlin shortly after, residing in the city from 2006-2011.  

Now a resident of San Francisco, Butane is renowned for a steadfast commitment to his craft, and stands as a pillar of artistic integrity and consistency in the rapidly changing realm of electronic dance music.  He values studio work over social media, and boasts an impressive and sprawling discography released by some of the most respected imprints in the business.  As the founder of three labels of his own - Alphahouse, Little Helpers, and his new Extrasketch project - Butane's impact on the industry is both deep and enduring.

For over two decades, Andrew has traversed the globe curating unforgettable sonic experiences.  From underground raves to name-brand clubs, electrifying festival stages to poolside soirées, he has graced the decks in over 60 countries.  Infused with energy, finesse, and sophistication, his sets resonate deeply with in-the-know audiences.  Armed with a meticulously curated collection of custom edits, remastered classics, and hidden gems from decades in the house and techno business, Butane draws on his considerable experience moving crowds to deliver versatile, unpredictable, pitch-perfect performances.
