We are back with one of our favourite formats, the SNOEflakes! And for the first SNOEflakes of the year, we have a proper treat for you! You will for sure remember the amazing track "Kickback" from Adrian Hour that was released in 2016? Well, guess what! The phenomenal Brazilian DJ and producer "Duodisco" is joining SNOE with a special remix of "Kickback"! Him and Adrian go way back, and when they came to us with the idea we immediately knew this was going to be good! Duodisco's remix is an energy-loaded package with driving drums and a pumping bassline that brings a proper dance floor flair to the song. While working smoothly with elements from the original, he has put his very own twist to the vibe, serving a properly electrifying tune.

The second track of the release is from our favourite Berndt Bechstein. Berndt just released a solid EP on SNOE and is simply unstoppable. Making one big tune after another, we just knew we needed this "Got That Friday Feeling" for this format. His new track has such a positive vibe to it, with flowy synths and beautifully layered vocals lifting your spirit to the max. And as we know Berndt, the groove is a proper catcher, that immediately makes you want to take it for a spin. This is why we love to SNOEflakes format so much. Two fantastic and different tracks, ready for the dance floor.

Next up is an overdue reunion with a familiar face. After his outstanding contribution to Cocoon Compilation S and his first solo EP on Cocoon Recordings, Raxon is back with a more than equally fascinating sound. The Egyptian-born and now Barcelona-based artist is back on it again, delivering two tracks that will take you on a journey through the depths of robotic soundscapes.

Intricate beats, hypnotic synthesizer melodies, deep bassline grooves, and distinctive EFX sounds create Raxon’s very special signature sound.

Straight drum programming paired with chirping percussions takes us away to embark on a travel through space and time while distinctive claps poke through a futuristic nebula of floating and shifting sequences. The twisted melody of “Robotalia” carries us to a parallel dimension of machine sound and if you listen closely, you can hear the robots’ screwing and sawing. Warping bleeps and mechanical effects complete the robotic feeling. Raxon’s understanding of structures and architectural abilities are reflected through the arrangement, slowly increasing to ecstasy.

“Kryptonite” scores with alien soundscapes. Stuttering vocals are the questions, while futuristic and dramatic chord stabs are the direct answer. A straight, radiant sound appears as an electronic trombone from outer space, offensively supporting the driving bassline. The symbiotic interplay between the euphoric synthesizer hook line and the relentless beat with pushing sharp hi-hats visualize powerful images in one's mind's eye. Suddenly the beat stagnates and results in a morphing break going head over heels developing a start-stop pitch effect that not only builds up tremendous tension but also bears an increased risk of melting your brain. We just love tape delay!

Our favorites Doc Brown and Berndt Bechstein return to SNOE for the next SNOEflake, each bringing a killer dance floor bomb to the label. 

Doc is finally back after he debuted with the magnificent “Invisible” in 2020. Since then he has been busy touring the US and making tunes in the studio that has seen the light on labels such as Farris Wheel, Box of Cats and WyldCard. His new track xxx shows how Doc is a force to be reckoned with, showcasing impeccable taste in sound selection and groove creation. The tune bounces and shakes with proper drive, serving us an addictive groove combined with thrilling synths and on point percussions. 

Coming in hot with a new track is the incredibly talented Berndt Bechstein. We are simply addicted to his sound, and each release he has had on SNOE has showed us how versatile he is in his peak time sound scaping. His last track “Friday Feeling” was an immense tune that was being played by Beth Lydi and Sven Dohse at Fusion Festival, and was supported by the likes of Kölsch, Marco Carola and more. And you know he went and did it again. His tune xxx simply oozes of that Bechstein flair, with a pumping groove underlining a beautiful whirlwind of synth elements, working up big momentum throughout the track.

Continuing his unwavering quest of producing highest-quality underground dance music, it’s safe to say that Butane, with his current trilogy of club-focused releases, will be in the rotation for many top DJs across the end of 2023 and beyond. Having dropped the first EP in the three-part series in early September, and garnering support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Radio Slave, and Stacey Pullen, the Extrasketch boss returns with part two as he delivers five fresh cuts bracing for dancefloor impact across all hours of the night.



Opener ‘Rockstar’ is a tough, trippy ride as provocative vocals are held together by tight percussion grooves and a simple yet infectious bassline. Next, ‘Stubborn (Filbert Street Mix)’ takes over as wicked evolving acid-laced bass patterns work alongside echoed vox snippets and crispy drums. ‘Nostalgia’ comes next and marches forth as a chunky slice of pure analogue grit.  The aptly titled ‘Rave Juice’ follows, concocting a moody brew of menacing lows, swirling synths, and laser-precise percussion.  Closing out the package, Rasse leaves us with the brooding and brazen sonics of the raw and ominous ‘Sleaze’.

Extrasketch is back with a bang. Butane and Riko Forinson combine forces once again on ‘You Make Me’, adding yet another stand-out EP to their impressive catalog.  

Dating back to 2019 with their first collaborative release, Extrasketch 014, the duo has certainly come a long way, making appearances together on eighteen further EPs on the imprint. Extrasketch boss Butane and his trusty production partner Riko Forinson continue to serve up their highly creative take on underground-focused dance music, spanning the breadth of deep house, techno and beyond. Delivering their first tracks together of the year, late March welcomes a trio of fresh house offerings as they link up once again on ‘You Make Me’.

Dubby and heady, yet driving and hypnotic, title cut ‘You Make Me’ is straight-up, no-nonsense house business made for the floor, with the track’s provocative female vocals ebbing and flowing in the mix. Imploring party-goers to 'Stick Around', the next cut veers towards more sun-drenched shuffling spheres, with skippy drums and shimmering lead melodies. ‘What I Need’ brings a timeless and classy balance of warped synth lines and soulful vocals to close the show.

Growing up in the midwestern United States, Butane was steeped in the classic underground house and techno sounds that originated in Chicago and Detroit. Further influences came from afar: New York house, west coast house, UK tech house, Cologne techno, Berlin minimal.  His formative years were spent on the dancefloors of legendary venues like Twilo and Vinyl in New York City, Space and Crobar during Miami's Winter Music Conference, and Rednofive in Chicago.

An avid record collector and DJ since 2002, Andrew’s infamous monthly party in St. Louis established an underground scene in the city and became a must-stop for touring international artists.  In 2004, Andrew embarked on his own artistic journey in the studio, despite lacking any formal musical training (a classically trained pianist he was not).  Proving to be a fast learner, his unique and eclectic sound began earning him worldwide acclaim on international record labels in a mere matter of months.  The German press dubbed him a “wunderkind”.  He moved to Berlin shortly after, residing in the city from 2006-2011.  

Now a resident of San Francisco, Butane is renowned for a steadfast commitment to his craft, and stands as a pillar of artistic integrity and consistency in the rapidly changing realm of electronic dance music.  He values studio work over social media, and boasts an impressive and sprawling discography released by some of the most respected imprints in the business.  As the founder of three labels of his own - Alphahouse, Little Helpers, and his new Extrasketch project - Butane's impact on the industry is both deep and enduring.

For over two decades, Andrew has traversed the globe curating unforgettable sonic experiences.  From underground raves to name-brand clubs, electrifying festival stages to poolside soirées, he has graced the decks in over 60 countries.  Infused with energy, finesse, and sophistication, his sets resonate deeply with in-the-know audiences.  Armed with a meticulously curated collection of custom edits, remastered classics, and hidden gems from decades in the house and techno business, Butane draws on his considerable experience moving crowds to deliver versatile, unpredictable, pitch-perfect performances.
