Marcela Cabrera Luna aka MambeLuna was born & raised in Colombia, shaped in California & spent time in other countries including Brazil, UK & Mexico. She's an Anthropologist & also studied Physics but from an early age was attracted to music and everything dance, culture, the environment and what moves people. 

She's connected to a variety of artists across the Americas that influenced her music taste & experience but she acknowledges her Afro Caribbean, Pacifico & Indigenous background that inspires her beats, plus a global exposure to other genres. Although her music is diverse, one can't miss her Afro inspired rhythms & transgenerational approach making her a new music force to be recognized. 

She currently splits her time between California & Mexico with some stops in between at her motherland where she recharges & brings new inspiration to her music. While she pursues climate justice working with clean technologies & protecting more vulnerable communities, her creativity never stops & her music reflects these elements inspired by these very same communities.

Butterscotch, the vocal percussionist virtuosa, uses her powerful voice to defy gender and music social constructs. She began her career in the underground male-dominated beatbox battle scene, where she was crowned the world's first female beatbox champion. Butterscotch blends Hip-Hop, Jazz, Soul and Reggae and her shows are emotionally and physically invigorating with her trifecta fusion of singing, beatboxing, and playing either piano or guitar simultaneously, or creating endless layers on her loop station. With a voice reminiscent of Billie Holiday and rap verses comparable to Lauryn Hill, Butterscotch courageously sings about her love life, depression, and daily struggles of being a biracial queer woman of color. Her philanthropic mission is to empower and elevate people through music and compassion.   

Butterscotch has opened up for Erykah Badu, Earth, Wind & Fire, Thievery Corporation, Sergio Mendes, Wyclef Jean and other musical legends.
