Next up at Markham we’ve got a mix from the ever busy/ever thoughtful basic chanel. Employing a wide range of Newtonian physics, this mix comes through at a mind bending tempo. Aura Sonora return with a second release to follow up the fantastic first one, this time it brings together two meticulous studio craftsmen, DYL & Tammo Hesselink. Their 'Moire Patterns' EP kicks off with 'Pattern 1', a deep and rhythmic slice of rubbery techno that rides broken beats with atmospheric pulses up top. 'Pattern 2 slows down to a predatory crawl with icy pads making for a dystopian vibe then 'Pattern 3' brings a sense of mystic tribal ritual deep in some futuristic jungle and 'Pattern 4' closes down with more fantastically crafted, dubby, broken rhythms that are topped with organic percussion and almost impossible not to move to. Pure rhythm science brilliance.

We’re beyond happy to finally share the very first recording from Refractor.

This one captures around an hour of the captivating live set by the talented French artist trois quarts taxi system, who guided us from daylight into dusk on the second day of the gathering. A sonic passage, subtle yet powerful, weaving us gently through time.

More recordings will follow soon, but for now, let yourself drift back into that moment.

welcome to the abstract sonic world of seoul-via-paris dj and producer k.o.p. 32. taking us a journey through the depths of the murky underworld, the hyper minimal session flips the switch between immersive, introspective sound design and grey area influences. 

drawing from his parisian roots and his current base in seoul, this diversity of influences lends itself to k.o.p. 32’s output. his productions lean towards meticulous drum grooves and textured atmospheres spanning across deep techno, halftime, drum & bass and freetek with releases across annulled, de rio, a-biotic, metaphore industrie, de rio and qilla records. i’m completely obsessed with his productions! they’re so deep and easy to get lost in. that feeling of being neither here nor there whilst you listen, away in another world. pyramid of knowledge is another alias of k.o.p. 32 and in 2021, he embarked on a new journey, launching his own label beyond the bridge which has released records from some of our other favourites including spekki webu and gi. well worth the dig through to get to know the world that k.o.p. 32 orbits in better as well as reading our interview below : )
