This remix is my heartfelt tribute to @prettylights , an artist who inspired me to start creating music in the first place. Teaming up with the amazing @abby-vice , we reimagined “Time to Build a Home” with our own flavor,  blending soulful textures, lush melodies, and heavy-hitting bass to honor the original while carving out something fresh. This track is about transformation, growth, and finding your place in the world, all wrapped up in a swirl of sound.

this song means the absolute world to me. remixing it was something i thought about many times. and many times i decided it was not the right time.
i waited until i felt i was ready to give it the honor it deserves
i first heard this song 18 years ago and I've been trying to get better ever since. 

to have Derek play an early version of this out at elements is nothing short of a dream come true. what a treat it is to be alive and to make music and dance all together with one another. 

i hope you enjoy my take on this classic.

It was intimidating to touch one of my all time favorite PL tracks.. he's forever been my biggest inspiration artistically... and once I actually got into a flow state, this remix kinda just fell out of me... it felt natural, it felt good, I didn't want to touch it much more.
