Jon Russell started his djing career back in 1989 joining destiny FM also with guest spots on fantasy FM..joining forces in 1990 with rob Andrew and forming the name Tribal 2 playing hardcore/jungle and going on to get residency's at Astoria,Nathan way,roller express,paradise club,sterns,marquee and many more with sets at fantasia,desire,AWOL,fusion,roast,in-ter-dance to name but a few.Tribal 2 went on to have a regular show on weekend rush releasing various tracks and holding regular events from 1991-1995.....

With a love for house/garage Jon started playing under his own name in 1996 gaining more regular nights for trinity,secret people,SE8,strawberry sundae with a reputation already as a crowd pleaser.

1998 Jon joined upfront FM and soon started to make his mark on the UK garage scene going on to bring out tracks alongside the G-men and playing for a long list of big nights both in the UK and around the world such as lords of the underground,la cosa nostra,rags to riches,bliss,climax,experience and many more...also taking his radio experience to a new show 1999 and jon joined the passion fm team ...

In the last few years join has gained the respect of the house heads playing at various clubs such as koko,egg,turnmills,fabric,scala,hidden,the o2,pacha,ministry of sound and SE1.........

In 2009 jon linked up with deep reds head honcho lucarelli co-producing a number of house tracks all reciving good air time and downloads with a number of future projects ongoing...

jon is a  current resident for promised land,playhouse,diverted as well as a few others and playing regular sets at egg,london,mcqueens,london,hmv forum.london,u.e.a. norwich and many more.....
It would be easier to list the clubs that jon hasn't played at yet!! and this djs vast experience keeps growing to a level that most can only dream of....

jon is a dj that can adapt his style to suit the dancefloor infront of him and plays regular sets of everything house,prog,deep,soulful also with the experiance to go back to the old school 88-89,dnb,hardcore,jungle and garage.

A long time ago, in a far away land (well, a little white island in the balearics actually), the seed of house music embedded itself in a young lad. That seed grew and grew (pretty much right away) giving him a vision of being a DJ and an overwhelming urge to spend all his money on 2 x Technics 1210's, a mixer and a shed load of vinyl. 

Since then came a lot of blood sweat and tears (mostly from carrying twice his body weight in vinyl to clubs and ringing ears by the end of the night), but mostly very very happy times rocking dancefloors far and wide in some of the most famous clubs in the world including Pacha, Ministry of Sound, Matter, Egg, Turnmills, The End, The Cross in London (where he even played on the day it closed!) and Space and Es Paradis in Ibiza. 

Chrissy's music style is deep house, tech and bassline house....with some weird and wonderful breaks & electro influences, not bound by genres only quality underground house! He's smashed it alongside dance floor legends such as Nic Fancuilli, Eric Pyrdz, Sebastien Leger, Martijn Ten Velden, Laidback Luke, Pete Tong and far too many more to mention!  Chrissy’s energy and love for his sound have always been felt by the crowd and he’s made sure they are literally jumpin around when he’s up on the decks! With residencies for club brands such as Kinky Malinki and Immaculate Touch he’s had some very impressive and up for it crowds to play to!

In 2008 Chrissy started a DJ Duo called the Twisted Twins and through hard work and clever marketing got his moniker a lot of attention. As the Twisted Twins, he went on to play at most of London’s major clubs with a damned fine reception. 

Look out for Chrissy's promotion Electric Parade, brought together by DJs with a major passion for quality deep house, tech and techno with some sick basslines thrown into the mix old skool garage style! Born out of a desire to hear their chosen music in clubs, the Electric Parade collective will be carefully choosing venues around London to suit the vibe, bringing a crowd of like minded people together to throw some pretty special parties.

Touring internationally since 2009, Groove Project have played in Dubai, Beijing, Paris, Australia, Singapore, Doha, Ukraine and Ibiza, plus London venues Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Proud2 / Matter.  

The Groove Project production sound fuses deep house with elements of garage, techno and electro.  The music is dancefloor-focussed, with weighty percussion, sharp synthesisers, rich vocals and colourful effects.
