New EP "Inner Jungle" is out now!

Wicked Expectation are a mix between electronic/downtempo and IDM.

Band was formed in 2012 and published its debut album 'Visions' in 2015 that was played live across Italy and Switzerland.

‘Visions’ concept is about the relationship between human, nature and technology: a restless and schizophrenic coexistence that might generates great innovations and catastrophes at the same time.
'Visions' was launched together with 'News' videoclip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JvG6jxjCFw).
'Visions' was self-produced by the band and recorded at 'Manifatture Musicali' studio (https://manifatturemusicali.com/).

The sound research and new instrumental set-up pushed the band to create new songs included into the new album 'Folding Parasite'.

The new songs have a massive use of synthesizers and samples, with less guitars and acoustic drums compared to the previous album. Groove is often a combination of Bass, Synth Bass and Drum Machines.
The album tour let the band play across Italy, Switzerland, France and Belgium.
'Folding Parasite' was launched by 'Seriously Laughing' single (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQHhSEQ1NqA) and was recorded, produced and mixed by the band. The album was published on March, 10th 2017.

On April 2019 the band released 'Echoes' which represent a step further into Wicked Expectation production process. The sound is even more electronic and abstract with downtempo rhythms, allowing the band to play also dj sets. 
'Echoes' is a four tracks EP, self-produced by the band and mixed/mastered by Jo Ferliga at 'Tapewave Mastering' studio (https://soundcloud.com/tapewavemastering). It was published under 'Doubledoubleu' independent label (http://www.doubledoubleu.net/).

On June 2020 Wicked Expectation's new EP "Emotional Control" came out. It’s a two tracks EP which combines IDM and Broken-beat genres, surrounded by atmospheric grooves that create an immersive sound for the listener. Inspired by clubbing culture, the essence of Emotional Control is reflected by the two tracks that differs a lot from each other. The EP has been recorded during COVID-19 lockdown: it expresses the need of escapism with a melancholic feeling that embraces the two tracks. The EP has been published by "Sideshape Recordings" (https://soundcloud.com/sideshape).

On March 2021 Wicked Expectation released a new single: “Beat Around The Bush” which represents a step further into Wicked Expectation’s journey, alongside with Sideshape Recordings label (https://soundcloud.com/sideshape). An UK Garage beat combined with layers of synths and percussive bass line. Upon all this, melodic vocals which embrace the whole track. This new track comes out after a dark winter, hitting like a punch on your face, redefining concepts right on time before they break apart. Put your headphones, press play, dance and sing it out loud. It might be hard to realize, but there’s no need to tell a lie in this story. Just hold on and beat around the bush.

On September 2022 Wicked Expectation released new track "Moving Clockwise".

New track "By The Air" was released on December 2022.

On May 30th 2023, "Inner Jungle" EP has been released by Wicked Expectation under Sideshape Recordings Label.

In January 2012 the debut album “Zarastro” went out in Italy and during summer 2012 in Germany and France also, thanks to the partnership with Five roses press.

Recorded in Livorno by Tommaso Bandecchi (producer of italian pop band BadLoveExperience) at “Ice Factory Production Studio”.

Mandrake played their album through many Italian clubs and from Summer/Fall 2013 they will have a tour in Europe too.
"Dancing with Viga", the second album, sees great collaborations. One of them the female american singer Lisa Papineau, living in Los Angeles (California, USA), known for her solo works, for the project Big Sir (with Mars Volta’s bass player Juan Alederete) and for her collaborations with bands such as Air and M83.

Il progetto “I Carnival” nasce nell’ottobre del 2013 nella provincia di La Spezia.
Le sonorità del gruppo sono essenzialmente Rock (cantato in italiano). Grazie all’uscita dell'album di debutto 'SUPERSTELLAR' (‘La Clinica Dischi’, 16.02.2015) e alla vittoria di “Arezzo Wave Best Band Liguria 2014” la band riesce ad intraprendere un Tour di oltre 30 date, esibendosi in diversi locali del centro-nord Italia (Liguria, Toscana, Lombardia, Piemonte, Lazio, Emilia Romagna) e in alcuni dei maggiori festival nazionali, arrivando a condividere il palco con artisti del calibro di Raphael Gualazzi, Pierpaolo Capovilla (Il Teatro degli Orrori), EX-OTAGO, RN Replay e molti altri. Il singolo 'Primo non ti sai decidere' (estratto da ‘SUPERSTELLAR’) è stato definito dalla prestigiosa rivista 'Classic Rock' uno dei migliori brani rock italiani del 2015. Uscirà a novembre 2015, sempre per ‘La Clinica Dischi’, il nuovo disco ‘SE NON MI TENGO VOLO’, preceduto dal singolo ‘PORNOVISIONE CULT’.
