For our 205th Truancy Volume we welcome a long-time NYC-based DJ and producer, who's become somewhat of a go-t0 for playing parties in and around the city. With consistently great mixes on her SoundCloud dating back eight years, Olive T has ticked off most if not all New York City venues in that period, lining up gigs at notable places such as Le Bain, Output Roof, House of Yes, Good Room, Baby's All Right, Union Hall, Trans Pecos, Bossa Nova Civic Club and many more. We caught up Olive T to discuss getting her first pair of turntables at 17, late-night MTV cartoon soundtracks, future productions and her time playing at Bossa Nova Civic Club over the years. Exploring different genres, tempos and sounds, her Truancy Volume covers all bases in a fast-paced affair, featuring music from the likes of Fatherhood, Patrice Scott, Lapien, and jungle from Ant Miles and David Thomas' Higher Sense alias.

Trushmix 127 we welcome back Wael X once again! Another mix from one of the massive Inner Varnika crew outta Melbourne OZ. We are happy to have him back on Trush.
Expect another eclectic outernational world tour into alternative clubland and way beyond.
As he stated himself "I swayed with world music and swerved from Turkish, Lebanese, Belly dance, percussion jams, Hip-Hop and of course, a healthy dose of Latin"

I honestly can’t believe we’ve made it to number 20, obviously, you’re all still listening for some weird reason, I hope its the same reason I’m still putting out the mixes. 

it fills me with immense joy to bring you number twenty by way of DJ Regret aka Unfettered aka captain jack sparrow aka the dreadlocked dreidel aka Scott Levy not reddy. This bloke has been one of the driving forces in my musical life, especially in the birth of the concept of this whole series. He has delivered a beautiful journey just shy of 4 hours. As mentioned before Scott has been a musical compass for me for last 15 years, consistently being ahead of curve, actually he creates the curves every year his set from Inner Varnika will be echoed throughout the year through every other Melbourne DJ and spotify enthusiast. Mimicked but never reproduced. Consistently adding his beautiful compositions to the ‘Trushmix’ series by our burger brethren.

I've also been throwing parties with him for the past 10 years, we started the now-defunct Out of Focus (rip) together, he started Sound of Thought (rip) and then we went on to start Inner Varnika, I’m very happy to of shared my journey with Scott and I’m not actually sure I’d be here without him, he has and always will keep me grounded. So after months of hassling he finally shot me something, a recording from a house party some weeks ago, basic setup, a huge vibe that builds into the evening/morning recording on a shitty mixer the peaks on a few songs so please bare with it. 

On that note, turn your brightness all the way down and grab a cold beverage from the fridge and enjoy the trip!

Bwise outta Adelaide, and the Inner Varnika crew from down under is back on Trushmix! After his last very well received street soul mix, He follows up with a over three hour live recorded set! A tour to detour in the landscape of house and beyond, disco, street soul and some old hip hop mix of house.
Never predictable and always fun! A pure pleasure of a mix! enjoy this for real!
