I'm a young artist/poet by the name of Chris Barnes aka Byol (BE YO OWN LEADER)born May 2, 1993 in Chicago, IL. I strives for greatness and black/minority empowerment through hip hop music and poetry. After losing the biggest supporter of everything I did (my aunt) in July 2012, also experiencing racism at Western Illinois University that same year: I turned to the music expressing my pain through the songs Your World and Cold World. I continue to tell the black struggle and over coming that from a Chicago point of view.
