Boomtown Basement Records is for underground producers and DJ's.

Founded in the satanic mills of East Lancashire during the birth of the Blackburn parties in 1989. It was Spawned originally in the basements and lock up garages of the town and grew to thousands of people illegally raving till the early hours. The people who it influenced and who have name-checked them as the reason they were inspired to get into dance music is lengthy. Our Co-Founder was the DJ who hand picked who was to play and who was not.

We publish music that evokes the spirit of those times, there were no genres, no limits, anything goes. Dropping love will tear us apart to 5,000 strong dancing souls whilst the sun was sneaking through the corrugated plastic onto warehouse walls whilst euphoria filled the room. That's the ethos of Boomtown.

Mattia Bissolotti aka Byssus class 90 decided years ago that his future was devoted to music and has thrown body and soul in its construction as a dj producer. In those years He has refined his technique as a dj by differentiating the product quality (the niche) compared to mediocre Bill (the mass); major influences came from masters such as Larry Heard, Erick "more" Morillo, Karizma, Osunlade, Lil Louis, Dj Jazzy Jeff.
