Emerging from São Paulo, Brazil, 11-year-old producer Nicolas Matos Alves — known on stage as bytegh0st — is rapidly carving out his own niche within the Progressive House and broader EDM landscape. Deeply inspired by Deadmau5’s fusion of atmospheric soundscapes, technical precision and bold creative identity, bytegh0st channels a similar ethos: music built upon immersive melodic structures, crisp production and a boundless vision.
Though his journey is at its earliest stage, bytegh0st’s work reflects a maturity beyond his years. Each release is an exploration of tension and release, harmony and drive — a tribute to the lineage of progressive house, and at the same time, a clear statement of individual voice. With a foundation in Brazilian musical sensibility and a future-facing outlook, bytegh0st is committed to evolving his craft, defining his sonic signature and contributing meaningfully to the electronic music world.

Tonal.
mf BB was born when I found myself alone to experiment with music. I started to create mixes before going to my own composition. The influence of Nicolas Jaar and his label, Other People, has probably directed my music towards a slower techno. I remain passionate about minimal techno and deep tech house and I enjoy mixing both of them.
My journey in the music world took a different path when the label Tonal offered me to work with them. This new open door allowed me to work with extraordinary artists such as Thales Boutroumlis, Landhouse, Daniel Steinfeld, The Vold or Zoi. 
I have the chance to be surrounded by musician friends with whom I can work on the Ableton Live software. This tool is essential for my production and it also allows me to work with people from all over the world and to feel a connection in a way. 
In my mind, music is a synonym of spirituality. I look for ways to spiritually rise to a form of meditation that can lead to a feeling of full consciousness. To quote Bashar I would say that
we enter a new era where being connected "to the reality that excites us the most" become possible.
