Ghetto Swing is a new compilation with a fresh take on one of the most exciting new genre of our era, Electro Swing. Whilst keeping to the tradition that meets 1940s and 1950s sampling with 21st century style clubbing, Ghetto Swing introduces the grit and grime of hip hop, reggae and dubstep.

Intended Immigration's "All I Do Is Dream Of You" is a neo-retro cover of the classic song from the Gene Kelly film "Singing In The Rain" (where it is sung by Debbie Reynolds) combining the rich sounds of jazz with a fat swinging house beat. 

The arrangement features lovingly recorded sultry strings, sassy brass and silky saxes to form the backdrop for an intriguing female vocal, both romantic and flirtatious. 

In certain spots, the cheeky arrangement leaves it provocatively open what it is exactly the singer does "the whole night through". A neighing trumpet winks tellingly.

"We popped round C@ in the H@’s gaff for a bit of knees up with him and fellow '100% Animal' lover Mr. Switch (4x World DJ Champion) the other night, and soon discovered we'd landed in a veritable menagerie of extreme animalistic mentalness. The man himself is a cross between Dr Teeth from the muppets and Dr Doolittle from……the famous film. We parked up in his garage and were met by a Gnu in a Shoe sniffing glue; had our coats taken by an electric Pig in a Wig; went for a pee and were met by a Giraffe in a scarf in the Bath; had some dinner and found Gary Busey crouching in the sushi. The C@ was insistent on lounging in his studio in a pair of leopard skin speedos, whilst teaching a fox to box and a lynx to kill JarJar Binx - hooray! He soon booted us out for not having any fresh skills to teach to his animals, so we nabbed this massive little 'Sax Party' gem of theirs on our way out - rest assured, we can guarantee no animals were rhymed in any way!" - Fat Harry.

“I'm not perfect, baby, that's ok/I wouldn't want it any other way/I paint you pictures of what it's like, when life's just sweet, sweet as a lollipop,” sing DELADAP on “King of the Divan,” the first single off their newest album, their seventh. Titles and lyrics, both of which superbly rendered vocally by DELADAPs dual singers Yola B and Nomadee, remind us of the joys of the home couch and unapologetically celebrate laziness. At the same time, each beat bursts with joie de vivre and an irrepressible drive to party and experience this world, with all its splendour and contradictions, perennial characteristics of Stani Vana's music since founding DELADAP in 2004. 

In 2015, Vana—a DJ, musician and producer living in Vienna—was anything but a “King of the Divan.” He spent the year steadily and passionately working on the 10 new tracks from Bring It On. Beginning with the overture “You Are Not Alone,” all the way through to the album closer “Dirty Jazz,” including standout tracks like “Merry Go Round,” “Ring Me Up,” and “Sleepwalker,” Vana and DELADAP have constructed a richly-detailed, broad-palleted soundscape. It is soulful and sophisticated, yet uplifting and reflective throughout. With its frolicking hilarity mixed with occasional philosophical musings—“Like floating in a boat towards the falls/No control and endless streams of thoughts/Hush hush just let it be/the dawn is closing in to end this dream” from “Sleepwalker”—in Vana's world everything is possible. 

Fantastic sounds and arrangements embrace and enchant the listener without currying favour, all while telling their own unique stories, strengthening and underpinning the lyrics and sensual logic of the songs, adding depth to go along with their superficial appeal. 

Bring It On is also the kind of album you can lose yourself in—in the best possible sense—yet also find yourself. Indeed, dancing and singing along are among the most immediate and important reactions to this music. And as if all that weren't enough, DELADAP have included re-workings of three of their classic songs as an updated, in-a-nutshell version of their history. 

DELADAP's history is one of constant change, progression and the exciting search for their own unique version of pop. “I take one step forward and one step back/dance like crazy and I'm right on track/I'm a rocket on a mission, got no simple plan/just one big vision, people clap your hands,” they sing in “Merry Go Round.” Just like all pop music—indeed, all art—DELADAP want to bring people together on equal footing, get them to connect with each other and not necessarily tear down the artificial walls that separate us on various levels, but instead dance all over them. Omnipresent cultural pessimism is treated lightheartedly on the title track “Bring It On,” though they certainly position themselves against it: “Take my hand we're going out tonight/We'll be like cats and dogs and everything just feels right/Don't think twice, you've waited far too long/now take my hand the best is yet to come.”

Life is beautiful. Music is beautiful. Dancing is beautiful. All together now.

C@ In The H@ (pronounced: Cat in the Hat), DJ & Producer who creates a fusion of early twentieth century swing and jazz, and chunky twenty-first century beats with bouncy electronic bass.  

Hailing from Birmingham UK with an innovative style called "Swing with the Big Bass Sound", his DJ sets are about mashing it up and having fun, bringing you Electro Swing & Vintage Remix with aspects of Turntablism, DnB, House, Hip Hop, Dubstep & whatever else fits into the melting pot.  

He is also Director at Ragtime Records alongside Tom ESC (Electric Swing Circus) & Duke Skellington (Vaude Villainz).  His releases have seen him getting a number of Spotify editorial playlistings (including a no.1 spot), tracks in the top 10 on Beatport, and his remix of 'Swingin' Together' has been featured on no less than 3 best of Electro Swing compilations. As well as producing music for Ragtime Records, he has also had releases on Freshly Squeezed, Pedigree Cuts, Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, Ton Liebt Klang, & Greenqueen Music.   

Since 2012, his music has secured him gigs at the most exciting UK Festivals including Boomtown, Shambala, Secret Garden Party & Glastonbury; as well as seeing him playing gigs all across Europe, and further afield including UAE & Thailand.
