Hippo & friends have taken that bass driven 2Steppin’ beat and brought the fusion it’s never known before. And boy they didn’t hold back on the global, ska, salsa and bhangra garage. 2Steppin’ up has taken garage to directions we didn’t know were possible, bringing you this compilation of 10 earth shaking UKG bombs.

As if that wasn’t enough to be proud of! All profits raised from 2Steppin’ Up will be donated to a charity that we love, Music 4 Children.
Who have been doing fantastic work bringing support and relief to some of the poorest and most underprivileged children in Nepal and the UK. From basic food and shelter to musical and creative workshops. The support and love Music 4 Children give is huge and we are so happy to be able to support them on their mission!

Welcome to the Good Love symphony of Cosmic Yum! This is a delicious collaboration of musicians and producers, spanning time, space and sound, for the enjoyment of all beings! 

This original cosmic journey begins with a big bang of ideas that travelled through many dimensions with genuine intentions of love and goodness before discovering the vocal bliss of Nada- Leigh Nasser. The original was launched featuring the groove frequencies of Captain Vibe on bass and guitar and complimented by Bongo Loco and Timewarp inc on keys. 

Travelling to a nearby star, the original was embellished and remixed by Omegaman, transforming the track into a multiverse of doof dub reggae. Folding the fabric of sound, Tom Drummond masterfully recomposes the track with a lush tropical pan drum funk remix. The track then traverses to the planet of Jayl Funk, who lays down his quantum funky breakbeat remix to get fingers snapping and toes tapping. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Mind Electric's club disco remix is waiting to launch...

Mined & Forrest are back to kick off the new year with their 3rd EP on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, called: Fire Back! After two successful EPs the Mined & Forrest duo is back in super shape to deliver another epic EP of head nodding electronic funk bangers.

The Fire Back EP comes with four originals from Mined & Forrest and two big remixes from the awesome Mr. Ours and Crash Party crew.

Kicking things off with the rock steady The Big Mama track, that perfectly showcases the Mined & Forrest style of flawless glitchy productions mixed with a good doze of hiphop vocal chops to keep the dancefloors rocking.

On the second one the duo slows it down with the track called Acting Like You Know that rolls out a big atmospheric sound and some pitched vocals and heavy basslines.

Picking up the grooves again the Gimme The Best jam leads on with a undeniable funky beat and some wicked basslines along with the signature Mined & Forrest vocal chops.

The final original on the packing and title tune Fire Back is featuring iamLawn, who already appeared on their last EP “Coming Through”, gives us more catchy melodies and mellow vibes.

On remix duties we see French glitch hop producer Mr. Ours giving The Big Mama tune his signature treatment, while the British Crash Party duo is giving the Acting Like You Know a drum ‘n’ bass twist.

C@ In The H@ (pronounced: Cat in the Hat), DJ & Producer who creates a fusion of early twentieth century swing and jazz, and chunky twenty-first century beats with bouncy electronic bass.  

Hailing from Birmingham UK with an innovative style called "Swing with the Big Bass Sound", his DJ sets are about mashing it up and having fun, bringing you Electro Swing & Vintage Remix with aspects of Turntablism, DnB, House, Hip Hop, Dubstep & whatever else fits into the melting pot.  

He is also Director at Ragtime Records alongside Tom ESC (Electric Swing Circus) & Duke Skellington (Vaude Villainz).  His releases have seen him getting a number of Spotify editorial playlistings (including a no.1 spot), tracks in the top 10 on Beatport, and his remix of 'Swingin' Together' has been featured on no less than 3 best of Electro Swing compilations. As well as producing music for Ragtime Records, he has also had releases on Freshly Squeezed, Pedigree Cuts, Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, Ton Liebt Klang, & Greenqueen Music.   

Since 2012, his music has secured him gigs at the most exciting UK Festivals including Boomtown, Shambala, Secret Garden Party & Glastonbury; as well as seeing him playing gigs all across Europe, and further afield including UAE & Thailand.
