Jon Randall, one of the song's co-writers, had just divorced from country singer Lorrie Morgan before writing this song. In addition, he had lost a record deal, and had not been able to find a songwriting contract either. He found himself drinking whiskey regularly, and pursuing sexual desires. After seeing the condition that Randall was in at the time, his manager told him, "Hey man, every now and then you've got to put a bottle to your head and pull the trigger." 
Randall then wrote down that line, and decided to use it in a song. He then met Bill Anderson and began to write the song, which eventually made its way to Paisley. Randall himself also included a version on his 2005 album Walking Among the Living.

Een bijzondere combinatie. Deze samenwerking dekt ongeveer alle subculturen die Nederland rijk is. Yellow Claw staat bekend als hitmachine, The Opposites zijn een van de populairste hiphop acts van Nederland en Evil Activities is één van werelds bekendste hardcore artiesten, die inmiddels 3 studio albums op z’n naam heeft staan. Daarnaast host hij de nummer 1 hardcore podcast ‘Extreme Audio’, treedt hij wereldwijd op en bestormt hij de podia's van festivals als: Qlimax, EDC, Dominator, Mysteryland, Tomorrowland en Sensation Black.

De verassing op deze remix is echter E-Life. De meeste mensen kennen hem als de Rotterdamse rapper met verschillende Engelstalige hits en de succesvolle albums: 'Eleven' en 'E=MC2'. Deze grondlegger laat eindelijk weer eens wat van zich horen, al heeft hij in de afgelopen jaren niet stil gezeten en is hij onmiskenbaar verbonden met 'Ecktuh Ecktuh' uit Rotterdam. De laatste 2 jaar werkt hij onder andere ook samen met Evil Activities, wat op dit moment resulteert in de door hen geproduceerde remix van “Thunder” van Yellow Claw & The Opposites.
