The Red See

Scuba Death is Ricardo Donoso's alter ego. With more of a focus on analog sound, percussion, sampling, and location recordings, there is an organic undercurrent on Scuba Death recordings that isn't as prevalent in his solo work. This music is rich in atmosphere while still tethered to the deeper ideas that Donoso often explores in his work. Treatises on fear and death­anxiety, the underlining thematic framework for the project, run rampant throughout these claustrophobic electronic passages, and teeter on the edge of being oppressive. 

Nitrogen Narcosis marks the first full length and strongest statement in the Scuba Death repertoire after the privately issued, ruthless ‘Demon Seed’ twelve inch back in 2011. The album alternates between surprising lethargic dance inflections all nestled between 75 & 100 bpm, the normal resting heart rate for adults, and the more conceptual, numbness­inducing pieces like "50­-70 Meters" and "Nociception." Sequencing plays an integral role on Nitrogen Narcosis as the listener is suddenly thrust into the darkest reaches of the ocean after dark alley grooves are sucked into an aquatic abyss. 

For a project named after Donoso's near­drowning experience in the South Atlantic when he was younger, there's an impressive amount of reflection & vulnerability present – the field recordings that permeate throughout the album were captured at the same location the undertow caught hold of him that bright Summer day 20 years prior. An inner battle between paranoia and euphoria is played out in well­conceived, precision sonics on Nitrogen Narcosis as Donoso reminds us to look back, break through the surface and go deeper. 

Ricardo Donoso's solo work speaks for itself, but with this new chapter comes new questions and considerations. Scuba Death is enigmatic to a fault and all the better for it.

A sunrise session if there ever was one. As the clouds lifted and muted rays shone along the beach, a cresting dancefloor revealed smiles deep and as wide as musa’s sonic palette. Sounds tactile and effervescent, reminding us what’s worth holding onto.

SXCL is a versatile musician from Reunion Island. Producer and disc jockey since 2017, they have been morphing their style with time to fit their eclectic taste. Going from house to progressive trance, to electro and more recently to old-school techno, their versatility brought them to play in venues like Säule, and recently at the Festival Electropicales alongside artists like Jeff Mills and Danilo Plessow. Sensitive to the intricate textures of electronic music, SXCL masterfully merges house and techno, blurring the lines that traditionally separate them. SXCL crafts their sets with meticulous care, prioritizing the audience's journey above all else. Expect a touch of melancholy floating around.

UK electro artist Emile Facey, aka Plant43, has built a discography totalling 10 albums and a slew of 12”s on respected scene mainstays CPU, Frustrated Funk, Semantica, Shipwrec, Cultivated Electronics and Trust. Emile is admired by his peers for his unwavering support of electronic music as an artist, DJ and promoter. His productions have been supported by luminaries like DJ Stingray, Helena Hauff, Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Rødhåd, Jane Fitz and Solid Blake and have been aired on BBC Radio 1’s flagship Essential Mix, BBC Radio 6, Rinse FM, Threads, NTS and the Resident Advisor Podcast. Journalist Ben Murphy has called his style “Intricate, melodic and bewitching” while giving him a 9/10 review in DJ Mag. He is a regular guest at Berlin’s renowned techno club, Tresor, who released a recording of his live performance at their 34th anniversary event in March 2025, London’s FOLD and festivals across Europe.

Sukkube is Charlène Levasseur's musical project. She explores sound synthesis and musique concrete through a modular synthesizer, blending sequences and samples. War and love guide her artistic work, reflecting an exploration of the tensions between conflict and frenzy.

Graduating from the Institut Superior of Arts of Toulouse in 2019, she began performing live in 2021 and has played at iconic electronic music venues in Germany, Denmark, and Austria. In 2024, she joined the IPN collective, where she continues her research, produces events, and teaches electronic music. Her productions have been released on several labels, including Detroit Underground, Augmented Research, Associate Records, Diffuse Reality, BCCO, être audio and more.

One of her notable works is the EP « Strike » released on June 17, 2023, which features tracks like « RS1 » and « Merry Crisis ». Her work is characterized by a bittersweet musical experience, where each note and sample tells a story of resilience and vulnerability. She is recognized for her contributions to the electronic music scene and her explorations in post-industrial soundscapes.
