The Empty Mountain on Oberstruel exists in its place not by chance, seated atop The Lake of Mud far below, from which all angels once were born in eras past.

Beyond the lake's edge stands a pair of massive stone doors hewn into the wall of rock, bound by locks only loosened by blood. Carved into their face, a runic message for interlopers:
