Balthazar & JackRock, already known as one of the well established djs and producers in the techno scene, celebrate their debut on Ausnahmezustand with a massive release called "Meinungen Muessen Frei Sein". The original track and the german vocals were produced in collaboration with the swedish artist Hakan Ludvigson. But why calling the EP "Meinungen Muessen Frei Sein" - English translation: Freedom of expression. It's simple: We are disturbed in many different ways in our being, only in one thing we are free... In music. There we can express what we feel, what we need! We need roaring bass and driving melodies. That may be the reason why Balthazar & JackRock and Hakan asked Alex Di Stefano, AnGy Kore and Urig & Dice to remix their track. All three interpret the original mix in their very own style and give the EP its final, unique touch

Skank a commencé la Drum and Bass après quelques voyages à Londres en 2006. Il s’est fait remarquer en mixant sur les radios toulousaines FMR et radio Campus au côté de SKS, Dreadilicious, Kush, Peyo… Il a déjà partagé la scène avec de grands artistes tels que Andy C, Drumsound, Ed Rush, Crissy Criss, Dj Fresh, Caspa, Dub Phizix, Alix Perez et bien d'autres dans la plupart des clubs de Toulouse lors des soirées Dirty Dancin, Bass City et Playground.Il a aussi joué en Espagne, en Italie aux Pays Bas mais aussi à Paris dans plusieurs lieux dont le Batofar. En 2009 il créa les soirées “Sound Break” et l'emission de radio du même nom sur ombilikal Fm en choisissant de mélanger le Dubstep et la Dnb avec d’autres styles (Hip Hop, Grime,Ragga…)Il a commencé la production cette même année le premier morceau “Playing with times” en collaboration avec SKS a déjà été joué par plusieurs DJ tels que Crissy Criss sur BBC 1xtra et d’autres morceaux sont à venir prochainement. Actuellement  il évolue au sein du Vandal Crew , groupe d'artistes qui mélange DnB, Bass Music, & Street Art avec entre autres SKS Redeyes Peyo & Stunt. Ses mix font ressortir ses influences Hip Hop et Reggae mélangé à tous le styles de DnB. Aussi à l’aise dans le Dubstep Grime que dans la DNB il su trouver son propre style musical et le faire apprécier au public.

The first track on this new single, ‘Breath Fire’ does exactly what it instructs you to do. Winding up on clanking snares and tinny drums, it’s a lumbering, angry construction of beats and distorted bass. As it pulls you along with it, you’ll become entrenched in its quick tempo and carefully spaced out layers. It cranks up midway, not long before a switch is flipped and its elements start coming at you from different angles, whilst upping the ante on their hostile stance.
