Awake and Dreaming

Thanks to all the happy faces who stayed up all night or who set their dusty alarm clocks to come and dance with us Wednesday morning. Having been on the other side of the speakers for many a sunrise it was a treasured moment to play this music, which holds a lot of emotions for many of us.

We want to thank Fleetwood Mac for the original magic and Robot Heart for creating the opportunity to crank it loud and proud. The edits and remixes included were created by us (Roxanne Roll and Smooth Sailing) and many of our producer friends who we’d like to thank for their work and passion: Psychemagik, In Flagranti, Antenna Happy, Twin Sun, Dean Kenny, Youth Edits, Cosmic Kids and Trail Mix.

I've been compiling tracks of artists who have remixed some of the classics, for quite some time now, with the intent to make a unique mix. It has been pretty challenging, but these tracks bring me right back to the beginning of learning the mass amount of power music holds within us. Movement. Emotion. Compassion.. Music never ceases to allow us to let go and give in to the waves of sound. So, I felt the need to put this out there, once and for all. I dedicate this to the old at soul and to those who do not fear the feeling of surrender.

Electric Blues

Diego Novoa aka El Papachango has been playing the festival for around 7 years and he is one of Bass Coasts favourite people. Blending the sounds of South America with West Coast Bass music is his speciality, and it has earned him a dedicated following on the West Coast and beyond. Diego took some time to put together a fantastic mix and also answered a few questions for us, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
