Norwegian/UK duo C-Systems team up with Hanna Finsen once again for their new uplifting trancer called ‘Just Begun’ released on the Black Hole Recordings Songbird label.
 
C-Systems consists of Norwegian Akki Hisham and Brit Matt Allen who began working together in 2011, as they noticed their skills complemented each other. After six months of writing together filled with new energy and creativity, they decided to form C-Systems. They’re constantly busy writing new material besides their remix projects. The singles they released receive fantastic DJ support.

TEASER Songbird 347-0 C-Systems Featuring Hanna Finsen - Just Begun

Formed in the San Jose/Hollister region of California in 1989 by singer-songwriter Dean Keith, Guitarist Mike (last name unknown) and bassist Tom (last name also unknown). They would spend the beginning of the year auditioning countless Bay Area drummers before landing the services of multi-instrumentalist/drummer Alan Brunk. 
The group would begin exhaustive rehearsals in the garage of Keith’s house in Hollister, CA. Although a major commitment on Brunk’s part, considering being employed in Oakland, CA (150 mile round trip), it was considered well worth it given the caliber of talent in the group. They would soon be regulars on the Bay Area “showcase” circuit, playing and refining the sound that would bring them worldwide attention. 
By the end of the summer of 1989, despite of a huge wave of success and critical acclaim, the usual band personnel fractures combined with the daily grind of commuting would begin to take its toll. This condition came to a head following the Loma Prieta earthquake and subsequent monstrous Bay Area traffic jams that came as a result of the Bay Bridge closure. The final blows to this fast rising super group came in the form of internal pressures and conflicts to tour extensively or record their powerful and unique sound in order to gain additional industry backing. 
After Brunk extricated himself from this unproductive situation, the remaining members struggled to find a replacement, ultimately disbanding, thus depriving the music world of one of the most promising rock quartets in decades. After moving to a 7500 square-foot recording compound, located on the site of a former Nike missile silo complex in the Oakland hills, Brunk would narrowly escape the Oakland hills fire of 1991, losing all recordings of the band that came so close to exploding on the world’s stage. 
Fortunately a rare, four-song recording of live and studio tracks were unearthed from the archives of Big Swifty and Associates Ltd., the group’s holding company. The former includes a tour-de-force performance of Figured It Out, while the latter has small bits of digital chicanery added, thus preserving the legacy of what was and the promise of what might have been.

It’s another busy festival season, and Coldharbour boss Markus Schulz selects four tracks which will prove to be essential throughout the duration of the summer.

They lit up last summer with their anthem Trickster, and Miami duo Grube & Hovsepian are back at it again with a followup in similar vein by name and by nature – entitled Prankster. Romanian Mr. Pit also delivers in anthemic fashion with Time Traveller, and both tracks are perfect for those peak moments in the live sets.

On the flip side, the beats become darker with the remaining two tracks. Dallas native Omair Mirza, who made his Coldharbour entrance with a bang thanks to Chain Reaction, is back again with another smash named High Roller. And Polish duo Purple Stories, starring for their diversity in production, opt for a big room flavor with Tarantula’s Lair.

Whatever festival you play or attend this summer, these four tracks are sure to deliver the goods.

C-Systems is a dance music duo consisting of Matt Allen (London, UK) and Akki Hisham (Oslo, Norway). 

They produce and DJ Uplifting and Progressive Trance with a vocalist-centred approach.

Writing together for several years now, the C-Systems duo have certainly brought their fair share of melodic dance music to the scene. Matt is a composer who loves nothing more than to start a melody-driven dance track at the piano. Akki is a producer who released his first track back in 2005 which was a major success on Norwegian radio, claiming the number 1 spot on the charts for some time.

C-Systems is a well known name for melody-forward productions, with even their most energetic tracks still focussing on the theme. Their work has been well received and released across a number of high profile labels, including Armada, Pure Trance, Enhanced Music and of course their label, Digital Society Recordings.

They attract support from major names and partners in the dance music world, such as A State of Trance, Transmission Festival and Trance Sanctuary. Their productions have gone from strength to strength, with regular plays from many of the top DJ’s on the circuit.

C-Systems is a name synonymous with vocal trance and the duo have worked with some of the best vocalists in the industry. The guys write and produce vocals, as well as working alongside other amazing songwriters.

DJing in the UK and Europe, they love nothing more than showcasing their new productions. Live edits of their tracks are common in live streams and club sets alike, as well as some unique remixes and bootlegs.
