This is a part of a recent demo of mine from early March, 2013 - brand new and fresh off the press.

We daydreamers owe this beautiful and melancholy melody to Cy Coleman, one of the classiest tux-adorned men to touch the keys. I have heard a couple lovely renditions - notably those of Fiona Apple and Frank Sinatra - and couldn't resist taking my own shot when I fell in love with Joseph Allan McCarthy's beautiful poetry.

Caitlin Toom is a Vancouver-based musician and songwriter whose musical origins juxtapose Dixieland jazz, folk-influenced harmonies and lyrical alt-rock and soul. Caitlin has performed with a variety of different musical acts from crooning in 1930s fashion with a traditional big band orchestra to fronting a 13-piece funk and soul band. Today she plays various venues around metro Vancouver while working as a recording artist.
