2 Hands, 6 Strings.  Gets exciting halfway through.   Working on Rythym and Tone, and the "right amount" of metronomic accuracy.   Influenced by middle-eastern drumming, but on the guitar itself.

This one's from 1919. From what I know, the original lyric was much longer by numerous verses but I think what we wound up with in our permanent performance arrangement had just the right amount of punch. It always did grow in live performances, as though with a mind of its own.

Caitlin Toom is a Vancouver-based musician and songwriter whose musical origins juxtapose Dixieland jazz, folk-influenced harmonies and lyrical alt-rock and soul. Caitlin has performed with a variety of different musical acts from crooning in 1930s fashion with a traditional big band orchestra to fronting a 13-piece funk and soul band. Today she plays various venues around metro Vancouver while working as a recording artist.
