《進擊的巨人》（日語：進撃の巨人）是日本漫畫家諫山創的漫畫作品，在講談社《別冊少年Magazine》2009年10月號（創刊號）上開始連載，台灣則由東立代理。於2013年發表動畫化，於同年4月6日播放。

故事的設定，是在描述人類被神秘的吃人巨人逼到必須要活在巨牆內、躲避巨人的虐殺的世界。由日笠陽子所演唱的片尾曲《美麗而殘酷的世界》（日語：美しき残酷な世界），是以女主角Mikasa為主題的歌曲。下面就讓我們先來欣賞Youtube上的影片：

自從前陣子動畫開播後，我每個禮拜天都守在電腦前面等，完全就是個巨人迷啊。尤其特別喜歡它的音樂，不論是主題曲、片尾曲、甚至是情境配樂，都相當的精緻切題，讓我們完全感受到製作組的用心。雖然我的最愛還是超熱血的主題曲《紅蓮の弓矢》，但是找不到原版伴奏，所以我們就先用二胡來玩片尾曲吧！

《美麗而殘酷的世界》是F調沒有轉調，看來似乎很容易，BUT（套句刀大的話：『人生最厲害就是這個BUT』）這首歌的音域實在是太廣了，F調從最低的中音2到最高的高音7，副歌幾乎都在三四把位以上演奏。我曾考慮副歌用低八度演奏，但是覺得自己無法表現副歌的高亢激昂，所以還是硬著頭皮用原音高演奏。我手指太胖了，幾乎快塞不下高把位的音階，音準、力度掌握得不好，就請各位朋友繼續多多包涵指教囉～ (´・ω・`)
