Yay Monday! It's not the usual day we release a Buzzzmix - but life can sometimes throw things off track - so we took a few extra days to get it right! We are psyched for this next one tho, because we ALL need that dirty disco vibe in our lives; a great way to kick off this first week of October! German producer Ferdinand Weber has handed us a deep house disco filled mix of pure joy that is guaranteed to take away your Monday blues. The funk runs deep and the booty shaking beats are real, if this does not have you chair dancing at your desk then you need more coffee. Ferdinand Weber starts things off with his new collaborative single "All Of My Love" with his homies Fabich and Saint WKND! So much fire! Get into this one kids!

Buzzzmix Vol. 34 - Ferdinand Weber

Wrestling with the passage of time is a challenge that always seems to rear it's head just as the days are reaching their shortest. The air is cool, the trees have lost their leaves, music is bouncing around the world, and here we are again together, just like last year. The world has changed around us, but aren't we right where we were? This time of year is always an impenetrable fog. Judging your place in the world, especially in THIS world, or at least the strange dystopian one we've created for ourselves, is near impossible. What do we even have to cling to, as fall turns to winter and the nights are longer and colder? Underneath everything else at least we can share some music - across continents and oceans and time zones. Music for lonely mornings and drunken nights. Music for closing your eyes to. Music to take us somewhere else. Where do we go from here?

This is for anyone who's out there paying any attention. I released a record a couple of months ago and the entire process of putting it into the world and then going on the road to play the songs has left my head spinning. It's hard to tell which direction is up these days. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have these mixes to put together. They're my therapy and I hope maybe they can be the same for you.

Electroclash. Bloghaus. Nudisco. Indie-dance… we started coming up in NYC when dance music was just beginning to make waves into the mainstream and clubs were playing new and experimental sounds that were raw, authentic, sexy, and fun.

We were djing 5-6 nights a week all over town at night and producing remixes during the day. We loved the open-format and genre-fusing approach that came to define this era of NYC nightlife between 2008-2011 ish. This music and this scene inspired us as artists and shaped the music of what The Knocks is today.

Every Monday night we would throw a party at Le Royale [RIP] until 6 AM. We miss that music and those vibes so we put together this mix to give you a taste inside that madness.
