I borrowed a Behringer 808 clone (RD-8) from a friend of mine. I doinked around with it for a good while. I don't know when my brain had the idea to sing lyrics from a favorite band of mine: The Dismemberment Plan. Pretty raw. (Not like I haven't been singing their stuff to the privacy of myself for many years.) Been experimenting a lot with vocalizing lately. I think this is a test-run. I sorta mashed their verses to fit the concept. Is it a cover? A remix? I dunno. Who cares. I just did a thing. I ain't here to tick boxes. I had fun, thought it was fun, decided to share it. Easy as that.


I reached out to them a long while ago and had the go-ahead to do a proper remix. I have some of their stems, so maybe that will come later. This is like a little rough test -- see how it sits. Quite Impromptu. The end of this track, ~@ 2:30 has some of Travis' vocals from the end of their song "The Jitters". The lyrics I'm singing are from their song "Spider in the Snow". Both songs are from their "Emergency & I" album.
