LaCar is a very talented and gifted up & coming R&b artist. His style is a mix of Hip Hop with an R&b twist but still remains true to himself & the R&b culture. LaCar was born in Boston, Massachusetts but raised his entire life in New Bedford, Massachusetts . LaCar's early passion for music came from his father playing old school R&b & Soul and many of the R&b groups of the '90's . He came across the idea of singing when he heard his older cousin Champagne Degrace sing for a family cookout . She mentored him through most of his time singing with minor vocal exercises & repetitiveness remarkably building LaCar to become the innovative perfection seeker he is today. LaCar has honed the recording process through his own life testimonies. LaCar is open to working with a variety of artists from all genres to uniquely evolve the sound of music for the next generation. 

LaCar has local success and has a good fan base in his hometown of New Bedford . He is looking to bring his music to a worldwide market . LaCar is not signed. He has been offered minor independent contract deals for one album around New England, but has declined offers due to the fact of wanting to stay true and original to himself, his music & his fans .

     My name is Trevon Marckeize Jemell Tate, but some might know me as Raos. I am a musician from Barstow, California that has been writing music since i was a sixth grader at Barstow Intermediate School, but I have never taken it serious until somebody told me I was different from the other rappers in the industry. So that's when I decided that change had to be made and music had to be played.

Beginning at the young age that I was, lyrics wasn't a strong point when I had first started, ha, I mean I use to make raps that sounded like a six year old making a poem for mothers day. After I realized that moment I began studying all of the rappers before such as A Tribe called Quest, 2pac, Biggie Smalls, Kid and Play, Young MC, Kurtis Blow, basically all around favorite artist in the game. And everytime I compared their styles to the style I was using in the lyrics I was making, coming to the conclusion of my rhymes aren't to standards compared to these artist. So I started practicing metaphoric poetry and applied it to the songs I was writing. Believe it or not, I still wasn't qualified for any shows yet.

So I continued to write and practice, before school, during school, and after school. Waiting for a chance to record in an actual studio, or at least see how it was done. I came in contact with a local artist named J Money, who already knew from the beginning that I was ambitious about music. He showed me how to let lyrics "flow off the mark" no matter what people said about it. So we would back and forward like an arguing couple, freestyling sixteens back to back to back. Giving me the motivation that I needed to see what I can do on the papers now.

At this point of the story I was about fifteen, thinking that I was doing something because of the school changing. I had the average high school male thing going on, always wanted something out of women, letting rap stir my name up at school. Almost to the point that I wasn't about to graduate which is "typical" for a lot of main stream rappers. So I transferred into a continuation school hoping to catch myself before I hit solid concrete. 

Turns out I was hitting it anyway it goes. On the night march 17, 2011 I was detained into the custody of the Barstow police department on multiple counts of charges. Seeing that it was my first listed offense, I was served twenty-eight days in juvenile hall, a year of probation and forty hours of community service. 

While in the juvenile hall 4X6 cell, I was inspired with a word that would stick with me for the remainder of my life. The word "soar" bursted through my mind as if it were a bullet through ballistic gel. Raos was created through the most of a bad situation and made the time in there so much easier. 

Shortly after completing these task, the house that my family was living in at the time had molded inside because the water heater busted and the landlord wouldn't fix it. So we relocated to Las Vegas; where opportunities for anything was limitless, inside of the Apache Pines apartment. There I linked up with a local artist that was on the same level as I was, motivation wise. He had the equipment but it was on the other side of town at his moms house. So we would take the bus, grab all the equipment and went back on the bus with everything. Total it was two pianos, a mic stand, two mics, a pop filter, and two MacBooks. 

Currently I'm working at Krispy Kreme part time. But I still write music full time and rehearse verses, waiting for my moment to shine on the ones that never believed that I would ever be set in a position that would bring me up higher than what location I'm set at now.
