Crop Circles 720 came together in late 1998 as a group of hip hop fans who grew up on this culture. Over the years they've honed their craft through the art of freestyle, live performances and recording in an effort to preserve creativity and combat the mediocrity that seems to plague the airwaves and poison the minds of the young.

The Bearing Strait é um projecto musical que se situa na confluência de múltiplas culturas, na fronteira entre o passado e o futuro, tal como o estreito de Bering, que divide a Eurásia e a América. O nome da banda é um trocadilho com o verbo inglês "to bear", que evoca o acto de carregar, acolher, gerar. Uma ideia partilhada por Fábio M. Barbosa e Jorge Phyttas-Raposo.
