The tape version of the release is an uninterrupted 40 minutes word-to-word capture of C.A.R. performance, recorded at The Shacklewell Arms, London on June 11, including most of 'My Friend' tracks plus some exclusive and unreleased songs. 

C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is the project of Chloé Raunet, formerly singer of coldwave band Battant and co-host of the Latete Atoto show on NTS Radio. Last November Kill The DJ released C.A.R.'s debut full length 'My Friend', a record exploring pop in all its forms, moving between post-punk, synth pop, krautrock and psychedelic disco. Ever since, the band has been touring Europe non-stop, and together with the Parisian collective we thought we'd make a special tape to celebrate the months spent on the road and on stage, where C.A.R. rolls around the edges of pop.

C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is a musical project conceived by Chloé Raunet, a multi-faceted creative living in London. Her self-confessed crush on too many genres results in a unique blend of glacial electronica, post-punk and warming, introspective pop. 

Following three albums on iconic, queer Parisian label Kill The DJ and UK’s Ransom Note, the live act now consists of herself and Joni Green. This latest combination champions female empowerment, injecting fresh energy and hype into the show. Together, they are building a reputation for pulsing, magnetic, sweaty and unforgettable performances. 

December marked another excursion into uncharted territory with the release ‘avant pop masterpiece’, Anzu. More new songs are tricking their way into the set, and C.A.R.'s next LP is on the near horizon.

A fan of the weirder edges of electronic music, Chloé also DJs and hosts the monthly 'On The Slip Road' show on NTS Radio.

Formed while wearing his mother's high heels and browsing dusty records, Moose was always busy foraging. After some hairy music adventures caused a stumble into a festival for the first time, Moose realised that there is more to life. The dusty records from the 80's struck a chord and were just the beginning of a long journey.
