Independent UK record label helping up and coming bands/artist release, distribute and publish their music . Launched in April 2012, Coal Shed Records first year saw single releases by Goodnight Ohio and The Holy Orders as well as their first EP release ( All Great Things And Beings Must Pass Or Die) by The Notebook. 
2013 will see the labels first physical release's with albums due out by Nobodys Nixon and The Holy Orders in the summer as well as further singles from both bands. We always listen to demo's and welcome any bands/artist who buy into the DIY ethos of Coal Shed Records. Thank you to everyone who has so far supported the label and the great acts on it.

This project has been active for 10+ years. This is a solo project but many of my beats come from a large variety of producers (see "Produced by ____" in song paranthese) from all over the globe. Sometimes I also produce or co-produce (see older material). I've played 500+ shows. I have vinyl and cassette tapes available for sale on my merch page. I beat box. I freestyle. I rap battle. They are three: Enoch Bledsoe (vocals, guitar), Natalie Bledsoe (vocals, bass guitar) and Oakley Munson (drums). They’ve been called acid rock, alt-rock, riff rock, punk rock, melodic garage rock, flower punk – take your pick. The Mad Mackerel calls them a “satisfyingly crunchy slab of grungy, garage-inflected indie rock.” Listening to their music we hear echoes of Nirvana, Hüsker Dü, My Bloody Valentine, The Sex Pistols, Cocteau Twins and their beloved Beatles." -AthensUncharted

A band that thrived in the underground house show scene, playing garage rock with psychedelic undertones, punk tendencies and pop melodies, excellent at having fun and pissing people off, Ancient Whales are a combo based in the southeast that have performed with The Nude Party, The Shine Brothers, The Humms, Greg Cartwright of Reigning Sound, Axxa/Abraxas, Sin Kitty, Anwar Sadat, DJ Jared Swilley (of Black Lips), The New Sound of Numbers, Mr. Elevator & The Brain Hotel, Allah-Las and many more. They began collaborating in Athens, Georgia circa 2008 after being in the bands Twin Tigers, Firework Child and Puddin' Tang. In 2010, songwriters Enoch & Natalie recorded a lo-fi album that began the journey of the Ancient Whales. 
 
AW has hosted a cast of talented musicians such as Shaun Ringsmuth of the band Street Sects, BP from Of Montreal, and Oakley Munson now in the Black Lips. In 2012 they recorded the Birthing EP with Joel Hatstat, followed by the albums My Bed Is The Ceiling and Vestiges of Tails Appear in All of Us recorded by Ryan Rapsys in Asheville, North Carolina and released on cassette tape via Wiener Records, a subsidiary of Burger Records. Ancient Whales performed on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim show Bloodfeast in 2018, where Enoch accidentally set a trashcan on fire. They were nominated for a Flagpole Magazine Music Award and have been featured at Popfest, AthFest and Do You Hear We music festivals.
Vestiges of Tails Appear in All of Us is set to be released worldwide April 24th, 2020.
