NOUVEL ALBUM // DES ANGLES ET DES ÉPINES // 22 septembre 2014 // 

01 - Cent Fois

Nauséeux.  Désorienté.  Anxieux.  Dérangé.  Difficile  d'imaginer  meilleurs  qualificatifs  pour décrire le premier album de Moodie Black, précurseurs du post-noise rap, dont la sortie est  imminente.  À  l'instar du  concept  de  Nausée  tel  qu'énoncé dans  les  œuvres existentialistes  de  Jean-Paul  Sartre, ce  disque  est  l’héritage  sonore  d’une  confrontation avec  une  beauté  au  tempérament  instable,  d’une  rupture  avec  la  banalité  du  quotidien. 

Faisant  suite  à  leur  EP  éponyme  sorti  en  2013,  qui  préfigurait  déjà  de  la  maîtrise  avec laquelle  le  groupe mélange un  flow rappé dans la plus  pure  tradition  Hip-Hop,  un  Noise éprouvant,  et  des  ambiances  sonores  aussi  statiques  que  mélodiques  bien  que foncièrement Indus, NAUSEA propose au public une vision différente du Noise Rap.  À l'inverse de certains morceaux aux rythmes enlevés que contenait leur EP (No Blood ft. Ceschi Ramos,  Hipster  Death,  Last  Griot  ft.  Dälek),  NAUSEA  révèle  une  atmosphère downtempo,  quasi  catatonique,  contre-utopique  et  magnifique.  On  ne  se  contente  pas d'écouter cet album. On le vit.  

Le groupe semble avoir troqué sa force brute et éprouvante contre des sons plus ambiants et progressifs. Les têtes bougent au rythme de ces pulsations en demi-temps, qui agissent comme le fil conducteur sombre de l’album. Les paroles évoquent la frustration du groupe vis-à-vis du conformisme  de  masse et  du  manque de sincérité  qui  caractérise notre société,  tout  en  rendant  hommage au caractère  transcendant  du  combat  humain. Tout comme celle des Existentialistes, la Nausée de Moodie Black établit un postulat de départ sur la nature humaine et son existence. Tandis que ses beats puissants, son flow aiguisé, ses voix plaintives, ses synthés enivrants et ses guitares obscures s’abattent sur nous telle une  chape  de  plomb,  NAUSEA  crée  un  véritable  électrochoc  dans  notre  manière d'appréhender le Noise Rap en tant que genre musical, et plus largement notre conception de l'existence.
