When a reptilian frenchie nomad discovered the sound of guiros & congas shaping into cumbia rhythms, he embraced the vibe and integrated these patterns into his sound... 

In love with electronic music, downtempo and global bass, he decided to try and merge his affection for latin percussions and sounds from the barrios into this 4-tracks EP, much more reggaeton, dembow and digital cumbia than his usual production style. 

A sound exploration from a Latin America lover & beginner cumbiero, with the incredible instrumental and vocal participation of the Moroccan electronic-gnawa music expert Khalil Mounji on "Gnawacumbia", and illustrated by the amazing artwork of Da Iguana's friend 91 36 Art (FR).

Amsterdam based producer KRAUT (a.k.a. Daniel Zuur) presents Lilium, following up on his 2016 debut release with Shika Shika “Especias”.

On Lilium we see the journey Daniel has made from his first EP, a widening of his horizons and a honing of his unique production style. Each track is at once natural, danceable, warm textured but also electronic and fit for the (virtual) dancefloor.

Portales - meaning ‘portals’, is a song capturing that moment in love that feels like floating. “It’s a song inspired by love and the capacity it has to profoundly change us,” says Kaleema. The song starts stunningly with a peppering of dreamlike chimes, which coupled with the punching line ‘portales se abren cuando estás cerca de mi’ (portals open when you’re close to me) sets a passionate tone. The chorus escalates together with a winding melody that will live effortlessly in the listener’s head, lyrically inciting
urgency and forward motion. Weaving the verses together are interludes laced with Andean flutes and pulsating electronics. It’s a song that embodies the wild experience of love at its fullest expression.

Kaleema is Heidi Lewandowski - a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and singer from Buenos Aires who’s planted herself deeply in the potent Latin American electronic scene. She released her debut album Nomada in 2017, receiving an array of critical acclaim for how she seamlessly and hypnotically weaves together contemporary electronic elements and tradition Latin American instrumentals. Since the release of the album, she’s been catapulted onto renowned stages such as MUTEK Montreal, Lollapalooza Chile among others and has collaborated with artists such as Chancha Via
Circuito, Mateo Kingman, Lido Pimienta, and many more.

“El sonido de Caballito refleja el calor, la alegría, las raíces, las ganas de mover el culo, el sudor, la buena onda...”
Caballito da a luz en una cálida Granada en septiembre de 2010, fruto del reencuentro entre Bigote y Grita, dos auténticos exploradores y recicladores de los ritmos latinoamericanos.
Pioneros en nuestro país en esta corriente ElecTropical que poco a poco va invadiendo todo el globo, empiezan sus andadas publicando varias mixtapes en su propia web y en distintos blogs del subterráneo movimiento. Pronto decidirían ilustrar sus mezclas con una explosión de gifs animados, vídeos y colores estridentes y muy chillones (creados por ellos, son también apasionados de la imagen), creando así un entorno psicodélico, divertido y uniforme. Fue entonces cuando Grita y Bigote decidieron lanzarse a la producción estableciendo su propio netlabel, siguiendo la línea de la licencia libre (Creative Commons). De esta forma, todo lo publicado en Caballito, ya sean producciones suyas o de otros artistas, fluye libremente por la red.

Caballito is born in Granada, in September 2010, when Daniel aka Bigote and David aka Grita meet again. It was a while since these two guys were checking out traditional Latino-American rhythms and discovering the Digital Cumbia, new Tropical style emerging all around the world.
Caballito, pioneer in our Country within this musical current, started publishing mixtapes in his own web and in different blogs, with the intention of breaking our hips. But quickly this world was too small for them, so they started to flood us with videos and psychedelic gifs. Was at that time when Grita y Bigote jumped into production creating their own netlabel, whose phylosophy follow the free licence idea. All the stuff published - their own productions and the collaborators’ ones - all flow freely through the web.
