After several years of DJing at various
plazas, festivals and parties around the
world, Kid Watusi is releasing his first EP
“Chapotea” which means “Make a splash”.

“Chapotea” is a collection of experiences
and flavors which is distilled in the
combination of two easy-going songs
that reflect the mythical universe of Kid
Watusi: “Tecno Im Baugette”, a song that
explores melodies from the Pacific with
Miami Bass, Cumbia and tropical
psychedelia, alongside “Chapotea”,
 a cover of “Grupo Pegasso”: symbolic
 of mexican tropical music - sung by
LuzEstrella.

Although Kid Watusi studied social
veterinary, he decided to experiment with
musical mutations with his brother and
sister Mauricio Alvarez (Cero39) and
Liquid Rockz to develop a unique
specimen of transcultural biosound.

After the release of Amansara, the third LP from Argentinian neo-folklore producer and one of the leaders of the new Latin electronic sound, Chancha Via Circuito returns with Amansara Remixed, featuring brand new and inventive re-imaginings of the tracks from the albums with artists hand selected by Chancha from Latin America and beyond. Artists include Frikstailers, Thornato, Tremor, Maga Bo, King Coya, Psilosamples, El Búho, El Remolón Nicola Cruz, Rafael Aragon, Blocktreat, Prisma, Reptilian Commander, Barrio Lindo, Sidirum and Chancha himself, under his previous alias "Universildo". The result of this selection is a powerful and experimental album where the unique sounds of Chancha dare to travel to new latitudes, catalyzed by the wide ranging vision of the remixers. 

The album also features the special participation of Acampante, an Argentiniam multifaceted artist, who was encouraged to remix the original artwork ( Paula Duró's "Madadayo" ) in a fresh and fun way.

“El sonido de Caballito refleja el calor, la alegría, las raíces, las ganas de mover el culo, el sudor, la buena onda...”
Caballito da a luz en una cálida Granada en septiembre de 2010, fruto del reencuentro entre Bigote y Grita, dos auténticos exploradores y recicladores de los ritmos latinoamericanos.
Pioneros en nuestro país en esta corriente ElecTropical que poco a poco va invadiendo todo el globo, empiezan sus andadas publicando varias mixtapes en su propia web y en distintos blogs del subterráneo movimiento. Pronto decidirían ilustrar sus mezclas con una explosión de gifs animados, vídeos y colores estridentes y muy chillones (creados por ellos, son también apasionados de la imagen), creando así un entorno psicodélico, divertido y uniforme. Fue entonces cuando Grita y Bigote decidieron lanzarse a la producción estableciendo su propio netlabel, siguiendo la línea de la licencia libre (Creative Commons). De esta forma, todo lo publicado en Caballito, ya sean producciones suyas o de otros artistas, fluye libremente por la red.

Caballito is born in Granada, in September 2010, when Daniel aka Bigote and David aka Grita meet again. It was a while since these two guys were checking out traditional Latino-American rhythms and discovering the Digital Cumbia, new Tropical style emerging all around the world.
Caballito, pioneer in our Country within this musical current, started publishing mixtapes in his own web and in different blogs, with the intention of breaking our hips. But quickly this world was too small for them, so they started to flood us with videos and psychedelic gifs. Was at that time when Grita y Bigote jumped into production creating their own netlabel, whose phylosophy follow the free licence idea. All the stuff published - their own productions and the collaborators’ ones - all flow freely through the web.
