With this second EP ever released and his second offering to the Electric Shapes' catalogue, Smogo dove deeper into the areas of the subconscient. With a blend of hard rhythms and dangerous sound designs, gathering both his love for Science-Fiction and organic textures, this new EP reflects more than anything his attraction towards ultramodern mental music, well reflecting the ongoing european enthusiasm for fast paced techno, buzzing soundscapes, ethereal harshnes, citing A Strange Wedding, Raär, Solma, Trois-Quarts Taxi System or Sole Massif as his source of influence. Calling this wave as "psytech", it conjures on the dancefloor a bestial spirit made for dance, self-abandon, communion with the others.

Mutable Ground is an album created through an exchange of recordings between Anna and Yannis. The project is rooted in the idea of sudden shifts in current events and the ever-growing emotions tied to loss, change, and tension. Each track title is inspired by unstable phenomena and objects, reflecting the potential for unexpected movement and the transitions of both nature and humanity. Repetitive, chaotic drum patterns, vocals that echo sounds of wounded or lost animals, hollow soundscapes reveal a sonic world where creation and destruction coexist—where people dance around fires, caught between fragility and resilience.

Tocca Il Futuro is pleased and proud to announce “Seti non tael tene”, its tenth cassette release: a unique project by Maurizio Bianchi and Ramona Ponzini, blending industrial, concrete noise, and sound poetry.

The unprecedented encounter between Ramona Ponzini and Maurizio Bianchi for Tocca Il Futuro yields a work poised on the threshold between evocation and vertigo: a sonic device unfolding through stratifications, resonances, and semantic as well as acoustic collisions. 

Maurizio Bianchi, a pioneer of the Italian industrial scene, chisels soundscapes built from abrasive, material noises, dissonant cadences, and atmospheres both dust-laden and rarefied yet simultaneously dense. The listener moves across these terrains as if navigating a landscape of ruins: sonic debris, distant echoes, reverberations functioning as unstable archives of memory. His practice remains faithful to the grammar of noise in its most concrete form, transforming chaos into a syntax that vibrates and breathes. 

Upon this fractured yet fertile topography, Ramona Ponzini overlays her voice and texts, which become a dramaturgical substance in their own right. Some tracks draw upon haiku; others rework and sample fragments of cinematic dialogues. Elsewhere, her writing emerges from cut-ups of sacred or Jungian texts, opening onto mystical and visionary apertures. Yet her research pushes further still: Ponzini develops an unprecedented sonic language based on anagrams, an impossible tongue that comes alive through fractured vowels and recombined consonants. 

Her Japanese vocal delivery – long her artistic language of choice – is never a mere semantic vehicle. Instead, it becomes vibration, an acoustic body intertwining with Bianchi’s cacophonic textures. The outcome is a dialogue in which instrumental density and whispered fragility coexist, producing an equilibrium at once unstable and remarkably coherent. 

The album thus takes shape as a liminal landscape, constructed out of sonic ruins and verbal visionary force, to be inhabited with both attention and surrender. It is a work that insists on deep listening, one that embraces disjunctions and contrasts while dwelling in suspension.

Driven by a thirst of experimentation, Jaquarius keeps pushing the limits of his own sound universe in a pure, endless, creative liberty. Coming from a primitive, ecstatic energy drawn from the rave culture, his homeland, his music brings a contrast to the retro-futuristic aura of it, which is connected to sci-fi movies and his acousmatic history.

His live performances as his productions invite us to wander in an electronic universe where synths are space and drum machines are time, we’re exposed to a kaleidoscope of sounds in constant fizzing that awakens all our senses.

From his beginning as a DJ in free parties at the age of 15 to the live performances of today delivered with as much intensity as accuracy, Jaquarius didn’t just follow simple artistic urges. Indeed, after 4 years of electroacoustic studies at the Conservatory of Paris, and thanks to the progressive acquisition of various synths and machines, he remains in constant evolution by always trying to free himself from all kind of technical barrier and test new methods of creation, reflecting his music.

Shaping his acid music outside of beaten tracks in an almost organic symbiosis with his machines, Jaquarius keep dropping as intense as unpredictable releases on Acid Avengers, Lunar Distance, Hypnotik, Zodiak Commune, Kromatones, Ceaseless, Microclimat, Mindcolormusic, No Pizza Rave, Statik Travel or even Narcosis Label, labels whose strong identity match his distinctive authenticity.
