NYX Festival 2024 Set

Grizzabella, a DJ based on Australia's Gold Coast, discovered her passion for music at the age of 12 after tuning into Radio Metro for the first time. Her enthusiasm for the craft deepened through late-night experiences in the Berlin rave scene and various Australian bush doofs.

She has garnered recognition for her regular performances at Soho Bar with Shadow Bass crew and at ParanoiaHaus, supporting artists in the bass music and techno scenes. Grizzabella made her doof debut at QLD's Eye In The Skye 2 in July 2024 and has had a featured mix with Rave Government.

Known for guiding dancefloors with intense buildups and heavy drops, Grizzabella leaves her audience itch for more. Her music style encompasses the dark, heavy, and techy sounds of drum and bass, jungle, and neurofunk, while incorporating psychedelic melodies and gritty undertones of techno and tech house into her mixes.

Grizzabella draws inspiration from artists such as Grafix, Phibes, Mob Tactics, Mandidextrous, Euphonique, and Chase & Status. She has started releasing a collection of mixtapes featuring live recordings from her various gigs and has made a guest appearance on Brisbane’s 4ZZZ Radio.

Anonym joins the Dream Schemes label for our 9th release. We first came across Anonym after hearing some tracks from his Eternalism release, and featuring them in our radio show earlier in the year.

A side - Pure Energy - is a fun and bouncy track that feels like it is bridging a gap between jungle and electronica. This one features nice break work, drips of percussion and dreamy arpeggios, all wrapped up in an electronica leaning blanket that feels soft and warm.

B side - Unveiling Protocol - slowly builds up a backdrop of atmospherics before bringing in the breaks and rolling out - taking the listener on a journey through lovely string melodies that rise and fall over the top of subtle movements that keep the track flowing.
