I've walked the world from front to back and seen a million things
I've scraped my knuckles on the map and held on through the waves
I've taped the eyes of monkeys and rode them till they broke
I've burned the leaves of agony and danced naked in their smoke

I feel ok
It's just the feeling that the end is something I can't escape
I feel insane
Then again a normal mind just sounds a bit too tame.

I've lifted chins and broke girls in, been lovestruck and confused
I've played the role of a superstar and was quickly left diffused
I've rolled up on some players and left them picking sides
I've twisted grins with sappy sins that took them for a ride.

I play the game
Took some lumps and rolled the dice, threw down, and walked away
I sometimes stray
It's in my nature to taste the air and conform to its change

Black-eyes simpletons never know what nightmares lay ahead
Temptation gets the best of them and leaves blisters on the bed
Eventually it'll get to me and take me to the edge
I'll run the distance to the wedge and run thin till I'm dead

I waste away and feed the work that's living in my brain
