Die Welt ist bunt

For me Cordoba, Argentina has been one of the best places to dj and I am sure a lot of the DJs will agree. This time again it didn't fail.. not at all.
The first time I played here was years ago at Lokitas (with the same name at the different location), intimate setup, packed with enthusiastic music lovers. My set was supposed to be 2 hours but it was too good to stop in such short hours, at the end it had lasted for good 11 hours...!! 
This 2nd release of my new Podcast series features the live recording from the recent Argentinean tour in Cordoba. The crowd was excellent as usual ;) My long time friend Facu Carri played impressive set of deep music at 119 BPM, following him made my musical journey on the night natural and effortless.

This is a 30 minute or so section from a very special gig at the end of  PBR Streetgangs  recent tour.
The atmosphere was pretty intense with such a great crowd.. fortunately some of that vibe has been captured as it was recorded with a room mic too on a Zoom H2 recorder. 

Technical difficulties meant the whole set was not captured but there is the last hour or so as well that will be posted up same time next week :

Fresh sounds rumble out of The Plot Music stable this spring courtesy of Berlin residents Daniele Di Martino and Solvane, who joined forces to create an epic slice of atmospheric Tech House drizzled with vocals - 'Daarp'.  2 giant remixes come from much in demand Belgian producer of the moment, Hermanez, delivering a powerful '6am Remix' centred around stunning harmonic pads which come laced with soft strings to add a pinch of lightness, perfectly fitting for sunrise. His mighty peak time '3am Remix', packs a punch, armed with a pumping kick drum to accelerate the floor. Also featured on the package is a mix from Stil Vor Talent's Björn Störig who accentuates the Arp sound, injecting new harmonies to crank up the emotional factor and taking no prisoners!

Belgium-born DJ and producer who boasts rich Latin roots and heritage, Hermanez, is rapidly rising to the top of the new crop! Mostly associated with his grooving, tribal-flecked tech-house productions, his productions regularly feature on the play lists of Luciano, Loco Dice and Reboot, to name a few. Hermanez's productions and remixed have graced top drawer dance music labels including Trapez LTD, Viva Music, Leena Music, Noir, Suara, Serkal Music and Inmotion Music, not to mention releaes on his own Aella Musicimprint which he runs together with long-time friend and fellow Belgian Ramon Tapia. Hermanez release schedule is gathering some serious momentum throughout Spring with releases already lined up on Circle Music Trapez, AdMaiora, My Favourite Freaks and Bad Barbie Records. Aside of his monthly residency at the concept Unicode (Belgium), Hermanez has been zigzagging the planet delivering a perfect fusion of House and Techno to clued-up revelers at off-Sonar (Barcelona), Fuse (Brussels), Spartacus in Aix (Provence), Footwork (Toronto), Tanzhaus (Frankfurt), Module (Tokyo), Club Air, ADE Festival (Amsterdam) and Tomorrowland (Belgium) among others.

German producer Daniele Di Martino is well known for his impelling mixture of Deep House and Techno. His productions have been released on top labels including Toolroom and Armada Music, among others. Solvane's versatile and emotional style has allowed him to play the big stages around the globe; from Burning Man Festival to Fusion, from European capitals to Australia, Asia and the USA. Since he began producing in his chosen home of Berlin, his songs have gained up port from the likes of Claptone, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Digitalism and more. Björn Störig is largely known for his incredible works released with Stil Vor Talent, a natural born drummer with a musical career that embraces rhythm in all it's shape and form.

As always, the Cycle showcases our guest’s current DJ style, whilst the Source mix let’s them delve deeper into their record collections, for an ‘anything goes’ set.

As so this week we are proud to welcome Ian Pooley, one of house music’s legends, and all round nice guy.  Pooley began his career in the early 90s, recording for labels like Force Inc, Definitive, NRK and V2, as well as labels like Plus 8 (for his Silvershower alias).  Remixes for hundreds of acts like Daft Punk, The Beloved, Green Velvet, Yello, X-Press 2 and many more, plus of course a DJ career that has taken him around the world many times over, Pooley still fires on all cylinders after all these years. Guido Schneider & Jens Bond - Flags Of Peace (CAL018) [Teaser]

In this podcast I wanted to take the listener on a journey through several stages of transformation. Using the knowledge I have gained so far from my sound healing studies, I designed this mix to evolve through the same type of phases we use to heal and transform. The stages are: Resonate, Relax, Release, Reform and Reflect. 

Sound and music is such an amazing tool to get into the deeper layers of ourselves and from here we can allow the stagnant, the old and the non-serving parts of ourselves to dissolve and transmute this into new higher vibrating patterns and frequencies. 

I've realised how much techno and music has helped me to release and let go, as well as giving me new inspiration and appreciation for life. I hope this mix will give you what you need at this moment, whether it's to relax, release, reform or reflect.

Born in Frankfurt, and currently residing in Berlin, Andre appeared on our Cadenza label way back in 2007 with a super release alongside Guido Schneider and Florian Schirmaker. Andre’s career though can be traced back to the early 1990s, with regular DJ spots around Frankfurt and Berlin, and music releases for Force Inc, Plus 8, Cocoon and Ostgut Ton under his belt.
