We don’t often invite people to run the FACT Mix gauntlet more than once – but if anyone gets to bend the rules, it’s Klock.

The Berlin titan last graced these parts back in 2009, filing a muscular FACT Mix entirely in keeping with his reputation as Berghain’s bosher-in-chief. The last five years have seen him consolidate his reputation as a standard bearer of refined, take-no-prisoners techno; his eight-hour-plus sets continue to shake Berghain’s foundations, and, although his output has slowed substantially, he’s still found time to knock out the occasional release on Ostgut Ton. His Klockworks label continues to tick along, too - new releases from fellow FACT mixer Trevino and Etapp Kyle are imminent, plus, if a forthcoming stint of “studio time” comes good, potentially more new music from Klock himself.

Those expecting pulverising 4×4 might be surprised by Klock’s sophomore FACT mix – a “deeper, dreamy” collection, bookended by two vintage ambient tracks and shot through with wonder. Unreleased Klockworks material features, as do cuts from the likes of Function, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Orgue Electronique and Lucy. The mix is a studio-recorded affair – something Klock sees as a very different kettle of fish to playing out: “Club mixes are obviously more spontaneous and capture the vibe of a specific night, while working in the studio offers other possibilities like re-editing tracks and layering tunes more precisely, which I’ve done a lot of that here.” Set your watches…

Bio:
Skymn started his journey studying art and developed an interest for audio installations. After a number of exhibitions in Sweden and Germany he began producing more techno inspired compositions which lead to his first release "Doctrine" in early 2015. This release was warmly welcomed by big names in the technoscene. He is one of the names in the clergy of Hypnus Records and Nordanvind Records. 
Currently working on new releases , Skymn will continue to spread his works.

"Lirios" has a definite breakbeat feel to it, with frantic, nervous, glitchy grooves and deep-house keys evolving delicately throughout ten hypnotic minutes. "Sangre y fuego" provides a constant harmonic tension all-along, with a solid sub bassline and psychedelic female vocal snippets surprising the listener every now and then for an overall clever mental piece. Finally, Invade Records Ilario Liburni treats us to a more efficient energetic take on "Sangre y fuego", with a richer arrangement and more "straight-to-the-point" approach.

We are very excited to bring you the latest EP from our long time contributor Dilby. The New Zealand expat has been on fire in 2019, with a wave of chart topping releases and a whirlwind of support from around the world. On this release he demonstrates his diversity, offering two deep cuts of grooving house music for the cooler dance floors. First up is Set Trippin, a punchy house workout with a tight percussive groove and lush, warm synth work. On remix duty is Daniel Meister who turns in a deeper, dubbier version that contrasts the original nicely. Back On Track, the second original, is a deep groover with a techy club influence. Layers of melody combine to weave an intricate web of moody vibes for the underground heads. On the remix our good friend Frink delivers an interpretation in his signature warm and dubby style which rounds out the EP perfectly.

Basaec is the label founded by Cadenza chief Luciano as an output for the music of its roots, coming from the Chilean prosperous archives or from brand new productions.
The fourth episode of the series features two extended fleshy cuts of thick dance floor nourishment. “Nature Reverance” is a grandiloquent obscure hypnotic journey to the center of the Earth, permeated of bass frequencies and jazzy drums, exalted by a slithering capturing Leslied organ.
Less inward-looking but still thousands leagues under the sea, “Trance Ilvana” has a shuffled prancing rhythm over an ultra funky stripped down bass line; its swooshes’ and its drops of juicy synthetic quirks sticks smoothly with its driving bass drum.
A generous condensation of timeless electronic funk, and a kaleidoscope of Lucien Nicolet early allure, hard coded in his DNA.
