Straight AHEAD MUSIC boss Sascha Sonido is next up on our digi series. The Swiss based German born DJ/producer/label owner has been on a roll so far this year with some massive releases on some labels that we really respect such as Habits and Relikt, so its an honour for us to have him onboard! He provides 2 originals, one more dancefloor oriented with a catchy vocal from a well known house track from a couple years back, while the other is aimed more for early doors or the afters! Remixes are taken care of by 2 producers we feel are making some really nice stuff at the moment, Mariche and Calou!

The French DJ/producer LORAN teams up with Daniel Orpi for a brand-new collaboration for Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label, and British juggernaut Skream is on hand with a belter of a remix.

Both now based in London, LORAN and Barcelonian Daniel Orpi join forces for the ‘Gaia’ EP, delivering a pair of deep and rhythmic house slammers.  LORAN is well known to listeners of Rinse France, via his monthly radio show, as well as his solo production work and remixes on the Our House label, whilst Daniel Orpi has released on elrow Music, Eats Everything’s Edible label, Kaluki Music and Whippin.

A punchy breakbeat sets up the hypnotizing ‘Gaia’, as shiny melodic keys filter into earshot, and a big and bold sub bass growls satisfyingly, punctured by micro vocal hits, all set to a groove inducing arrangement.  Skream needs little introduction, suffice to say that the early dubstep exponent has blossomed into one of the UK’s most dependable producers, via an army of house, disco and techno leaning productions and remixes over the last two decades.  His remix of ‘Gaia’ is a pure roller, playfully mashing up the synth tones of the original mix into a rave-esque banger of the highest order.  

The electro direction of ‘Bloc’ grandly seals off this heavyweight release for Four Thirty Two, as a chugging acidic bassline gurgles intently over a driving rhythm and atmospheric sweeping pads.
