Caelestis is an Atmosphere/Post-Rock duo and creates Blue Music.
Why blue? As we think and feel it is the most conceptually accurate color to our music: for many ancient cultures, blue was the color of introspection; most of all, for Buddhism the Blue Lotus represents the universe and the soul's pureness and that's why it is considered a sacred flower. We believe that a pure and bright music with its positive vibes, visually represented with this deep color, has the power to reconnect man to nature and in this idea we find the essence of our art.

Our latest addition to our alternative/indie roster is a talented songwriter and performer from Greece called DUSK (Avgi Platanidi). With her attention focused on strong melodies, meaningful words and minimal arrangements, she doesn’t follow the current musical trends but simply tells her story. To put it in her own words: “Music has been my personal journal for every memorable moment of my life since I can remember myself, either as a listener, or as a songwriter…”
DUSK has been influenced and inspired by the enchanting sounds  of Dead Can Dance and Enya , the melodic creations of Greek composers, such as Yannis Markopoulos and the mesmerizing songs of Radiohead, Puressence, Pj Harvey and Tori Amos.  This is the first single from her upcoming album. Albert Planck & Prins George have given their own electronic interpretation of the song, maintaining the minimal feeling of the original.

For Buddhism the Blue Lotus represents the universe and the soul's pureness and that's why it is considered a sacred flower. We believe that a pure and bright music with its positive vibes has the power to reconnect man to nature and in this idea we find the essence of our art. 

Our journey began as a multifaceted one man band and led us to who we are today: a duo creating atmospheric music. Our music is melodic and dreamy and we like to define it as "blue music" for its tones, metaphors and lyrics' contents. Blue is indeed the color of serenity, calmness and it's always been connected to the spirituality wherever in the world, when humanity looked for something more significant and deeper. In the Blue Lotus we traditionally find and see this light and this research of inner peace which associates our path to Buddhism and to the other Oriental philosophies, in our case through the positive use of sounds.
