Bedroom Tapes is comprised solely of lost material from a recently discovered box of cassettes that emerged in the process of a house move. These tracks capture some of Paul Woolford’s most wide-eyed and naïve creative impulses at a tender age. 

Seemingly lost forever, some were part of sessions that led to him being signed to now-defunct UK techno imprint Blue Basique. This is the first chapter in this archive and an intimate portrait of the artist at a key stage of his creative development. 

The tracks have been carefully mastered with a loving hand by Matt Colton who has been meticulous to retain their idiosyncrasies. 

Released on 2xLP vinyl / CD / Cassette - Cut and mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis, manufactured at optimal media, Germany.

M I C H E L · D U B O I S , of French origin, is above all a profound music lover, becoming a DJ was an inevitable consequence. By travelling around the world in 2011, he explored the electronic music scene worldwide and didn’t miss the opportunity to take a huge part of that along with him. With his strong passion for collecting music he landed in Berlin in 2014, where he worked in the music industry for three years. At several labels and booking agencies like Sol Asylum and Love City Central he regrouped some heads of the underground Berlin scene. In the meantime, he launched “Amstram Gram”, a non profit organization which provided house and techno parties in his hometown Paris. In collaboration with CrazyJack and Distrikt, they managed to gather more than 2000 people in a warehouse to share and enjoy the same passion - exciting, right?

In the past years, Michel has played in some well known underground venues in Europe, including Club der Visionaere (Berlin), Zur Wilden Renate (Berlin) and Veniceberg (Verona, ITA). His determination led him to develop a deep acuity for digging music. From house to disco, he likes to provide his audience with music rich of melodies, filled with identity and passion.

For us he’s recorded a colourful mix of funky tunes with swaying melodies and housy euphoria combined with some nicely bedded disco classics. The curtain rises: Michel Dubois!

D R . L U V (mehr unfug - Freiberg) has been playing music for over two decades now. Like for most of us it started in the student club around the corner, in Jörn’s case EAC Freiberg, where he stills plays from time to time. During his first years he joined forces with some friends and hosted  a web radio/TV show with various guests - we like! 
By now he’s played the whole range of what the 4/4 realm can offer and has settled on House, Disco, Techno and Pop music. He has played in several clubs throughout Germany such as About Blank and Golden Gate (B), Zoro, Distillery and Elipamanoke (LE) and Sektor E (DD) as well as on some small regional festivals like “Sundays” and “Ferkhl” organized by friends.

We grew fond of this guy pretty quickly. One of a kind! Sweet. Authentic. Creative. Dedicated. Old school. Hairy. The odd one out - in a good way. Original. Special. Unforgettable: Instead of a digital file he sent us an actual recorded double sided cassette mixtape in a paper case with a wax seal. ❤
Dr. Luv told us that it’s most important to him to always have enough time to properly guide everyone through the dance. Same here. He took his time telling us a story, guiding us through these grey days as winter is coming. 
So take it in and enjoy this special treat!
