Looking for a vintage Cure Record? Dying to get your hands on a print of Robert Knight’s first Hendrix image? Or even just a place to crash because you sold away your worldly possessions to travel cross-country in the hopes of being “great”. Whatever the intent, for over a decade, most have taken to craigslist to find what they were looking for. The boys of Cairo Fire took to craigslist and by an odd twist of fate, found each other. 
	
  Will White was living his days as a freelance fashion designer. Most of his nights, though, were filled with music, which led to his ascension through a sea of hopefuls to the top 28 boys of American Idol’s Season 12. Upon his exit, the would-be front man released his first self –penned and produced solo effort but was left in dyer need of a “next step”. Simultaneously, twin brothers and producer-musicians, Michael and Joseph Pepe were in need of the same in Charlotte, NC. Having parted ways with their band which had recently toured the nation and been dubbed by Billboard magazine as one of the “top 8 unsigned acts in the country”, the brothers needed a fresh start with even fresher ideas. This was when they came across a post White had written looking for just that.
  	
  Within a few short months, the trio realized that they had truly found something special in their union. Complete with over a dozen original songs, the best were chosen for a 6 track EP to be produced by Patrick Boyd (The Paper Tongues, The Noises 10, Slowrunner). Set for an early 2014 release the record will be followed by its own extensive set of tour dates. The sound of Cairo Fire is the summation of White’s smoky soaring power vocal, M. Pepe’s effortless pop/rock chord progressions and time signature, and J.Pepe’s chunky melodic bass lines all fused with strong hints of electronica. Each of these can be heard in “Bold & Beautiful” the band’s first single release and collective “next step”.

Jeremiah Wilde’s first studio release, Momentum, is a great analogy for the band’s spirit. With a tightly tuned rhythm section that hits you where it counts and guitars that scream for your attention, it’s just icing on the cake when front man Jeremy Vess’ emotive vocals capture your ears. This is music that makes you move, and isn’t satisfied by a tapping of the foot.


Scheduled for release in late September, Momentum is the first of two singles that were recorded at GAT3 productions with producer Joel Willis earlier this year. Searching is the second track that will see release soon after Momentum.


Jeremiah Wilde was formed by front man Jeremy Vess and lead guitarist Jeremy Mullis. Having previously worked together in the 106.5 Weenie Roast Contest winning band VESS, the chemistry was already present. Soon after forming the project, the two remaining members of the band, Kevin Dudley (drums) and Joe Reese (bass), signed on to the venture.


Jeremiah Wilde employs a Rock n’ Roll sound that lends itself to any ear, regardless of age, musical preference or locale. This is music that stands on its own and demands your attention. Having played with various local bands like WARSONG, Millennial, Cairo Fire, and Charleston SC natives Heyrocco, Jeremiah Wilde is prepping to record an EP early in 2015. In the meantime, catch their performances while you can at all the familiar places. #GoWilde

For WARBLY JETS (Samuel Shea and Julien O’neill) their second LP marks a new era, a shedding of skin, a clean slate. It’s been three years since the release of their first LP—years filled with all the highs and lows of growing up, and finding their footing as a band. “The first album changed our lives explains Shea. “But parts of it feel too one-dimensional since there are no rules in pop music anymore,” adds O’neill. “We’re witnessing a rebirth of what music can be. Music is getting way more flexible and people’s ears are wide open. It’s easy to be inspired by the infinite possibility. That’s what this album is about for us.” Defined by experimental, genre-bending production, massive sound-collage hooks, and the search for identity in an industry that has yet to fully accept them, MONSTERHOUSE features the alternative duo’s most personal yet highly relatable songwriting to date. “It’s a patchwork narrative of our own experiences,” explains O’neill, “but I hope people listening will find a lot to relate to with the questions we’ve been asking ourselves. Things like, why do you feel that you can’t go on without that person? How did you grow up so fast? How do you change again for the better?”
