Fonix is an up and coming rock-fusion quartet based in the Triangle region of North Carolina. The band was formed in the Summer of 2015 after a casual jam session amongst relative strangers brought about a mutual feeling of musical familiarity. It is comprised of former Nautilus members Evan Bost (keyboards) and Jonny Rienerth (drums), along with former Makayan members Dennis Veazey (guitar)and Elie Herzog (bass). The four players have quickly become a tight-knit group, sharing a common goal of creating a unique style that transcends typical genre labels and takes the listener on a dynamic musical journey, utilizing both thoughtful original songwriting and live improvisation.  Their shows are characterized by high-energy peaks, sweet valleys of ethereal bliss, tasteful odd-time changes, and an unrelentless infectious groove that always keeps the crowd moving, and guessing.  This combination of sonic creation allows Fonix to consistently explore new sounds and spaces during each performance.  The band has high hopes for what the future holds, and is eager to please the people with their sweet, sweet melodies… so tune in and get hooked now y’all!

Lotus has crafted a unique musical style outside of simple genre limitations. On a given weekend the band could be the only group with guitars at an all electronic music festival and then the next night crash a traditional rock festival with their dance heavy beats, synths and samples. Equal parts instrumental post-rock and electronic dance, the band's distinguishing feature is the ability to maintain a decidedly unique musical voice and remain current while bucking passing trends.

No matter what the venue, the energetic joy and catharsis of a Lotus show is infectious. The band slowly built a devoted fan base through steady touring and the crowds have grown at an increasing pace. This grassroots growth has made the band in high demand for festivals including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Ultra, and Rothbury and earned the band sold out shows at the country's premier theatres and clubs.
