Anyone Else (feat. Supertaste)

LA producer Blake Robin aka LUXXURY’s new full length album finds the bassline-obsessed disco addict experimenting with funk, synthpop and even (gasp!) pure instrumentals. “Increasingly in my most recent singles I’ve been treating vocals like instruments” says Robin, “backgrounding and balancing them as sonic elements instead of centerpieces,so the listener gets lost in the groove.” And indeed the star of these 11 songs is undoubtedly the 11 stellar basslines that ground the swirling synths and melodies as vocal fragments coolly dip in and out of the mix along. Highlights include: KCRW fave “What Are We Gonna Do?”; the slap bass workout “Somebody Tonight”; the contemplative “…At Any Moment” (playlisted by Purple Disco Machine) and its sister track, the title track “Alright”; while playful disco-house burner “Let’s Stay Together” blends house and jazz-funk rhythms with his trademark dusty basslines. The 11 songs on LUXXURY’s album are all infectiously rhythmically-oriented while exploring new disco directions.

If there is one thing that Satin Jackets can do, it’s making you feel good on the dance
floor. While the soulful, uplifting track “In This Life”already compels you to get get 
moving, Satin Jackets has managed to level up with this Cassara remix. Multi-
talented producer Chris Cassara had already proven what he is capable of with his 
previous remix of Satin Jackets’ “Never Enough.”
It’s well-known that Tim Bernhardt has mastered the recipe for elevating and soul-
stirring music, but having an extra chef in the kitchen can up the ante: Cassara knew
exactly how to add some extra spice to the second single released on Golden Hour. 
With a classic disco feeling and a pinch of “French Touch” on top, it conveys a 
certain courage - something that takes you to the next level on the dance floor. 
When Satin Jackets brings in the melody, Cassara knows how to raise the tempo 
without losing sight of its soulful vibe. The combination of a stomping bass, Nile-
Rodgers-like guitar licks and the right tempo, confirms that Cassara was the right 
choice stir in that special something to the already perfect sophomore single “In This 
Life”.

Recorded in 2023 using a mix of modern and vintage studio equipment and techniques. 'Colours' is the perfect blend of the Modern Pop sound and Synth-Pop of the 1980's. Funky guitars, soaring synths and soft falsetto vocals, all make for a chilled, laidback retro vibe.

'Colours' is the third single from Louis La Roche, taken from his upcoming fifth studio album 'Admittedly'.

Tomode’s new, electronic single Bar Phantasmique features billowing, analog synthesizers suspended over a silky-smooth lead guitar and lush pianos. The track is infused with the vibrant coastal sound of the duo’s imaginary Riviera. 

”In our imaginary beach town, Bar Phantasmique is the watering hole where all the locals go as the sun is setting. Discolored paintings on the wall and an upright piano with circular stains on top. Bobbing your head to a mesmerizing bass line with a chilled drink in hand.” the duo explains.

Bar Phantasmique is the last single from Tomode’s sophomore EP ‘Riviera’, scheduled for release on April 14, 2023. The success of their debut EP ‘Synergy’ (2021) and the genre-bending and catchy sound of Stockholm natives Viktor Westerberg & Carl Leandersson has landed them nominations for Newcomer and Pop/Rock of the Year by Nordic music mag Gaffa.

After traveling overseas in February to open for French duo Charlotte Fever in Paris and Lyon, the duo is continuing their steady rise with the release of their sophomore EP ‘Riviera’ and international festival appearances lined up for the summer.
