Stark und selbstbewusst, dennoch zerbrechlich und nachdenklich. LEEZA berührt mit ihrer gefühlvollen, emotionalen und dynamischen, teilweise rauen Stimme. Mit dem Segelboot den Wind zu nutzen und nach einer Beziehung aus der Schockstarre und Windstille wieder die Fahrt aufzunehmen: Dieses wunderschöne Bild zur Liebe schreibt sich LEEZA mit ihrer Debütsingle „Leichter“ auf die Fahnen.

Jeremiah was first introduced to a guitar at the age of 11. Influences like Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd laying the initial foundation for his music. A trip to Ibiza in his late 20's ignited a new passion for dance music. Trading guitars for synthesizers, Jeremiah’s focus gradually turned to producing with the goal of eventually making his own music. 

After a few years of learning production and finding his sound both musically, and vocally, Jeremiah got his first track 'Electric Haven' signed to 10 Steps North and also has released on FSOE UV. One of which reached the Beatport top 10 Progressive House Chart and also number 1 in the Beatport Progressive House Hype Chart.

Grenada native, Shellon Matthew also known as DJ Sta Child shares his musical experience in the big city of Chicago.
While spending 21 years of his life on the spice island of Grenada, DJ Sta Child found in the Caribbean “players are very diverse, they are never limited to music”. Eight years ago, when DJ Sta Child reached Chicago, he observed Chicago is not as up-to-date as the Europeans. “The Caribbean market is not that huge”, so trying to implement updated dancehall, soca and reggae music becomes a problem because Chicagoans are not exposed to this sort of music.

We see America and especially Chicago behind in diversity within the music market. The English for example is more advanced in the knowledge of Caribbean culture.

“There’s a lot of diversity in England because of where are music is coming from. The reggae music, soca music, is in the English atmosphere because of our background with the English”. “We weren’t governed or controlled by Americans we were governed by the British, and when you bring these people together there’s more of a huge base of Caribbean people. So then the English understand that’s it’s apart of our culture too,” said Sta Child.

Not to say that Americans, or Chicagoans no nothing about the Caribbean because I mean we do know about Beanie Man and Bob Marley and don’t forget Sean Paul. But the question is are we willing to know more than that. Can a DJ like Sta Child play Konshens and still keep the crowd or will we walk away and stand by the bar until he plays some 2Chainz.

“I can easily get a crowd going with some old dancehall music but the minute I play some 20-30, they just stand and look. But the minuet I play some new hip-hop or some new pop then they are ready to go because they know that,” said Sta Child.

So now can we conclude it’s the Disc Jockey’s fault that Chicago is not up-to-date with it’s Caribbean music…

Well according to city-data.com, out of 15 states Chicago ranked number 8 of being the “best Caribbean cultured cities”. So if the culture itself is not vibrant in the city then the music would not as well. Normally people enjoy the music they are accustom to. The only chances that the DJs’ have here is to deliver the music in between what people here already know. Do the DJ’s “want to play for an empty room or for a crowd of people”.
