Mike Sim is a Boston based multi-media artist that uses video and music - musically falling somewhere between folk, hip-hop, & electronic music and visually creating a kaleidoscopic mix from manipulated home videos & found footage.  The self-recorded, self-released debut “Kaleidoscope EP”, was released in 2012.  Since then he has continued to consistently self-release audio and visual albums and perform around the New England area as well as other areas in the US.

Cake factory is a Boston-based collective and label that hosts techno shows around Boston and releases music semi-regularly.

Cake Factory is focused on the cultivation of local, underground techno and ambient music in Boston, MA. We are actively seeking submissions from Boston-based (and adjacent) techno for future events. POC, LGBTQ+, non-binary, and/or female-identifying artists are particularly encouraged to submit their work.
