The latest single from Cal in Red is their first non-original release. It’s less a cover and more an amalgamation of two indie hits; “Can I Call You Tonight?” By Dayglow and “Quarterback” by Wallows. The seamless merger of these two tracks is characterized by hazy synths, springy guitars, and punchy drums. The brothers, for the second time, shared vocal responsibilities. With this song, Cal in Red has paid homage to their predecessors while also breathing new life into the very tracks that inspired them in the first place.
