I'm a former sound engineer from Translab Studio Paris, providing audio mastering for +650 releases including Pepe Bradock "Deep Burnt", and all Daft Punk's Crydamoure label. I've carved the French-Touch sound during 10 years and launched the lounge music movement. I initiated the first raves in France with my friend Manu Casana, sound-designed Karl Lagerfeld's shows amongst others. This is my new projet. 100 compilations, sharing my personal selection of the best contemporary music, mixed together in the most eclectic way, yet creating an unforgettable journey. This is my "Collection".

J’ai le plaisir de vous présenter « Collection 001 », le premier volume d’une série de 100 compilations, pensée comme une véritable anthologie personnelle de la musique moderne – du 20ème siècle à nos jours. 

L’inspiration de ce premier opus, qui se poursuivra dans les suivants, prend source dans l’éclectisme au service du voyage musical, afin de faire vibrer le plus grand nombre d’auditeurs de tous âges. Chacun des morceaux choisis provient d’époques, de genres et de styles très différents, qui ne sont pas naturellement voués à se côtoyer dans un « mix ».

C’est ma vision de la musique généraliste et une suite logique à ce qu’avait initié en son temps la lounge-music. Ma volonté, c’est que le voyage du mix, mais aussi le voyage de chacun des morceaux qui le composent, soient riches et racontent une magnifique histoire.

Dans « Collection 001 », vous allez retrouver Miles Davis, The Cure, Joao Gilberto, Acid Pauli, et bien plus encore. J’ai même choisi de glisser un extrait de la symphonie n°5 de Gustave Malher, qui naît d’un morceau de hip-hop soyeux du groupe américain The Pharcyde. Nous vivons une époque où le temps s’est beaucoup accéléré, nous n’écoutons pratiquement plus de musique classique - exceptés les amoureux du genre - car elle nécessite d’y porter une complète attention.   

Ce premier volume est l’expression de ma sensibilité et débute un projet important, qui a l’ambition de faire partie du monde d’après…
