I wrote this song as something I wanted to say to another person. But also from feelings that I also feel for myself. Kinda like how someone can give great advice but not follow it in their own life haha. The (my) verse is meant to be like my advice to someone and things that I see in them… “How smart I think u are..” “I pick up what u putting down cuz I know its all you.” “Appreciate the way u build me up by just talking..” Its like, I’m purely here 4 you. Here 4 u in any way u need me. It doesn’t have to b romantic it can just be us talking. I make time for you, I want you to be okay, I want to be there 4 you if you need me. At the same time… I’m listening to that verse and reading back what I wrote like why am I so willing to be there for someone else and make that time for someone else, yet I struggle with making that same allowance for care in my own life. Some days that makes me feel like shit, some days the care I give can make me feel like gold… most of the time I exist somewhere in between the two… sometimes I drive myself crazy over thinking about it. 

Atosa’s perspective on the track (in my opinion) was so appropriate. I felt that her approach was more dense and packed with texture and placed me in the shoes of a person who was currently going thru it. It felt raw and true to her, and to me as well. Its what is so special about the track. Its just two people sharing. With each other, maybe even for each other. Theres no ulterior motive, its not super contrived… its just dialogue between to people who, could really use it.
