ØLMØ \\ Dj Set - The Glove That Fits, London \ Fossil Archive \ 4th February 2024

Kostas aka @againstmesc is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer & co-founder of SOCIETY 3000 and core member of USM Recordings.

The project “AgainstMe” started back in 2017 on his home island Lesvos, Greece and it stands for the continuous fight with ourselves to align our inner voice with our soul and beliefs.

In 2014, at the age of 16 years old, he first discovered his passion for DJing and producing and he did his first steps into the music industry under a different alias in a wider range of electronic music. His music has been released on different labels around the world, but as he was at a very young age, he was still discovering his self and what style of music expresses him the most.

The project “AgainstMe” came to life two years later after his first Rave / Techno parties in Lesvos, Greece.  For him at that point, techno music was something completely new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced before. The distorted melodies and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of these parties made him immediately fall in love with everything around this sound and what it stands for.
 
Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world. Some of the most important releases during the last years were, his album “Synopsis” in Subsist, “Tension Seeker” in Warok and "Defend" In VOXNOX.

He already enjoyed support from artists like Dax J, DVS1, Rodhad, K-Hand, Mikael Delta, Richie Hawtin, Temudo, Kanding Ray and many more.

For him, the absolute goal of a DJ  is to connect with the crowd and build a unique moment together. So his sound could be characterized as multidimensional, energetic and storytelling. Some of the venues/parties he performed at are RSO, Corsica Studios, QRECLAIM, Astron Bar.

Currently, he is experimenting a lot with Modular Systems and unorthodox techniques in his studio in Berlin.

Here I present the first edition of my podcast series called Daja mix, where I will try to express my essence behind the decks, each series will be made for different moments of the track and moods, this time I present a podcast with a whole vibe of warm up, full of emotions. I have compiled several pearls that I had saved some time ago and I wanted to mix some different genres such as opening and closing with two artists that I admire, (Pan Daijin and the band Lfthfield), a very emotional and progressive set that I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed doing it.
