Monday Morning Mixtape for Stamp The Wax

Coming through with an incredible warm-up guest mix for our next party on 25th March, Rosy Ross steps up with some ziggly synth chuggers to get you in the flow of the weekend.

Rosy's versatility spans across dub, house, disco, and the cosmic spells in-between. An active member of DJ collective Sisu, and part of the management team at Threads Radio, also running her residency 'En Vacances' inspired by seaside resorts and the stranger edges of the balearic and downtempo sound. 

Rosy hosts long sets at venues like Brilliant Corners, hwk and Faith In Strangers, and serves the dancers for The Cause parties, Dalston Superstore, Adonis and Margate Arts Club, among others. We're very excited to have her come up to Liverpool to play Keep It Cryptic's first secret location party since 2020.

o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"I loved putting this together! After-the-afters music for rolling one and floating a little longer, before drifting back down to mother earth. Every song holds a thought or a spell. I was guided by Eris Drew's writing on rave integration, a recent-ish 'Cosmic Anarchy' newsletter from Ayesha Khan, and Ursula K Le Guin's ‘carrier bag theory' of being in the world.

'Music is not meant as an escape, false utopia or expression of happiness. It is meant to conjure feelings of connection to the earth and each other, which I think we need to internalize to be motivated to heal ourselves and to feel a direct responsibility to try to address the world’s problems.' - Eris Drew

'The key is creating containers in community for us to oscillate [...] between feeling/processing emotions & mobilizing/organizing.' - Ayesha Khan

A dedicated crate and internet digger, Rosy plays for dreamers and dancers at venues like Dalston Superstore, Margate Arts Club and The Cause, where she's also a resident. Her radio show 'En Vacances' on Threads celebrates the genre-traversing freedom of the original balearic DJs.

SMUT Press is delighted to present Ms. G for the 29th mix in the Sounds of SMUT mix series. Ms.G (they/them) has been a mainstay of the London Queer scene for the better part of the last decade. A longstanding resident at Dalston Superstore, their sound draws from a rich tapestry of in uences: High energy rave, sultry percussive breaks, pumping hard house and rolling trance numbers weaved together with classic UK motifs and the playful vocals that Ms.G has become synonymous for.

They have played at some of London’s most coveted parties, including Body Movements, the now defunct Big Dyke Energy raves, Club Are, Pxssy Palace and closing the gone, but not forgotten Chapter 10.

This year has included an appearance on Boiler Room and the Summer months feature appearances at some of the UKs most vibe-heavy dance oors including QYSP, Gala festival and Field Maneuvers to name a few. If you know you know!
